The Lucky Dumpster is a truly unique and eclectic shop located in an artist enclave. Owned by James, the store offers a wide range of handmade and one-of-a-kind items, most created by local artists. Visitors can find handmade mugs, stickers, magnets, greeting cards, earrings, soap, shirts, bags, and painted wooden sculptures, including fun pieces like three ducks playing video games. The store’s variety makes it a special place to find interesting gifts or personal treasures. Many items are contributed by local artists, adding to the shop’s creative and community vibe. James is friendly and knowledgeable about every piece, often sharing stories about the artists and their work. The store also features creative touches, such as hand-sewn bags made from maps on vintage sewing machines. Customers can pay by cash or check, and the owner is flexible—sometimes allowing purchases with a note and mailing in the payment later. Despite being about an hour away, visitors frequently stop by to browse and chat with James, enjoying the experience of discovering new treasures. The shop’s atmosphere is warm, fun, and full of unique, eclectic art and crafts, making it a must-visit spot for anyone in the Anacortes area looking for special gifts or memorable finds.

This place has the most unique items made by local artists. It's so fun to go there and browse, great for gifts and they always have new items! It's a consignment shop so that is pretty awesome!

Wonderful store for lovers of all kinds of knick knacks and beautifully made pottery. I spent a long time in here and could have spent more time! Looking forward to returning. Note that they are cash or check only, no cards.
