You will never have as unique of a shopping experience as you will shopping at the Lucky Dumpster. James is the owner of the place and while he has some pieces he sells, most of the art/crafts/goods are from other artists, most local. You can ask him about any piece and he will tell you about the piece and the artist. Things our family has purchased here: handmade mugs, stickers, magnets, a painted wooden sculpture by an Edison artist (three ducks playing video games), a shelf, greeting cards, earrings, soap, shirts, bags. The range of items makes Lucky Dumpster extremely unique. Need a bag for a small item? James will sew one for you on a vintage sewing machine using a paper vintage map for the material. Ready to pay? Cash or check only, please. Don't have either? Well, you could use the ATM across the way in the Longhorn Saloon but James is perfectly happy to give you a scrap of paper that notes the amount you owe and lists the address to the Lucky Dumpster. You can mail him the money later. We live about an hour away but come up to Edison regularly. We always stop in to see what new treasures have arrived and have a chat with James. I hope you'll enjoy the place as much as we do. ❤️

A wonderfully eclectic and semi eccentric gallery in an intriguing and unique little artist enclave. A must go to when in the Anacortes area.

This place has some of the most eclectic pieces of art I've ever seen in a single shop. So many truly novel pieces. The owner was very kind and knew about every piece I asked him about. I can't wait to come back!

Cute place with lots of handmade products and fun things! I love how different artists around the area contribute to making everything feel unique and interesting! The owner also is very creative and hand sews bags from maps and other things.

A very eclectic little store with lots of gift ideas and a very friendly staff. They only take cash or check but we were in last Sunday and when my son found a gift that we did not quite have enough cash to cover the item, the clerk let us take the item home and mail in a check for the item!

A must visit. The store has SOOOOO many unique items, most if not ALL are from local artists. From pottery, to hats, bags, tie died clothing and ornaments, everything is one of a kind, well priced, and in some instances very eclectic. A GREAT store..................items for you or for gifts, can't say enough good things about "The Lucky Dumpster"!

Amazing little shop with great art and amazing craft and the friendliest atmosphere. I have been going here for almost a decade and I am always surprised by the new stuff I find. If you are driving through the area, make sure to stop in.

Extraordinarily pleasant shopping experience. Everyone was so kind! I'm sure my being a tourist was apparent, though I felt very welcome. Merchandise is well made, and well priced. Certainly worth a visit.

Fun store to browse through. A good variety of unique souvenirs and gifts. Out of all the shops in Edison, this one is the more affordable.

I absolutely love this shop!! My husband and I move to the Skagit area a few years ago and make the trek to Edison a couple of times a month and when we're there, we always try to stop by the Lucky Dumpster!! I always find something fun & unique for gifts. And, even though we visit frequently, there's typically new inventory featuring new artists' pieces. I echo the same sentiment as another reviewer; I get a little giddy when I get my hand made map bag! Love those bags!! Great welcoming vibe too.

Nothing really practical here, but if ya like local artsy-fartsy stuff, then go here. Parking can be hard to find.
