Bad place to work. Just wanting to warn anybody who might be thinking of doing it. It was an office admin position but they will expect you to wear any hat they need you to wear and they expect you to just figure it all out with little to no formal training. In my opinion next time they put up the position they should state that its for a PERSONAL ASSISTANT because there is a huge difference between that and an administrative assistant. Thats not even the worst part they will find loopholes to not pay you overtime by billing you through both of their companies. And the entire place is a pigsty like literally gross, i don’t know how people could come in and do business when its in the state its in. The owner who can be kind and jovial also has quite a temper he & his office manager are emotionally immature boomers who will expect you to do their personal bidding constantly, which is very unprofessional and unlike any professional office setting i’ve worked in. He also often smells like a dirty diaper and has health issues ( which is sad but also not his employees problem) which means he will rely on you to do more of his bidding than you will likely be comfortable with. He and the manager will roll into work whenever they feel like it while you have to field calls from angry people who need to be paid for their services or angry customers and it will be on matters you were never previously made aware of. Never in an office role have i been asked to fix my bosses personal cell phone or mail his sister a painting or organize his wine collection. They will call you before working hours while you’re at your house getting ready asking you to pick up other employees from the ferry etc on your way to work, i could go on and on. The amount of screaming and sketchy business practices are ultimately the reason i quit. The turnover is incredibly high for these reasons, I remember one person even remarked that he was surprised i was still there every time he came back from vacation because with the turnover rate there’s usually someone new every time he returns. Also for consignors, be sure to always ask to see the sale paperwork to make sure the numbers they are telling you it sold for are in fact correct, their business practices are shady IMO and they will lie to you & scam you if you let them.

Won a motor home FMC 9k paid them 20k to fix it up to what was to be perfect condition and deliver it. They wound`nt deliver it. I paid a guy to fly there and drive it back. After getting there he had to jump it at the starter to get it to run and every time after that. After getting it to me could never get the generator to work, transmission leaked oil. Air filter was loose probably because we had to use ether to start it half the time. The brakes that were completely new right down to the rubber lines, the peddle would go half way to the floor and you had to push hard to make it stop. They would`nt give me back the 2500. I paid them to deiver it. I was so discusted with it I took it ti Ritchi Bros. and got 3250 for it

The car was S - O - L - D , but the girl was gold. I inquired this evening about a blue DS-21 that was recently featured on ebay. I received an email that the listing was ended, (I had bid on it and was the highest bidder at the time). So, I got curious and called Cosmopolitan Motors, very late, very late to closing time quite frankly, to find out if another purchaser had closed the deal, or what the status of the DS was. The young lady that answered the phone was cordial and informative. She knew immediately which vehicle I was referring to. She suggested to me that the vehicle was pretty much sold, however took the extra step of getting my information in case the "deal" fell through. I wish I had 5 of these secretaries that are just like her! If Cosmos runs their dealership in anyway like the young secretary did, then I would buy a vehicle from them with no ifs, ands or buts. She took the time to get my info, and in this business world, that is GOLDEN. I wish she worked with us in our car business. Thanks and let me know about the D. Mike.

They took way longer for title than I have ever had any auction or dealership take. They put my refund check on my brothers payment check. Over all I’m not impressed do better guys do better. The service is all I can give credit for awesome auctioneers and pleasant office staff. But otherwise I’m slightly perturbed.

On 08/28/2022 I purchased 2 vehicles from Cosmopolitan Motors through their Lucky Old Car auction, a 1986 Alfa Romero Spider and a 1994 Chevrolet Crew Cab Dually. While the Alfa Romeo was described accurately for the most part and to my satisfaction, the Chevrolet, which was shipped to me, had been inaccurately described in the auction as having a "Highly coveted and desirable 7.3L IDI Turbo Diesel V8 engine with a 5-speed manual transmission," as well as major repair work. Upon inspection at arrival, it was discovered that the engine is in fact NOT a turbo diesel engine but a gas powered V8 with a 3 speed automatic transmission with none of the described repair work. In a heated discussion with the manager of the Lucky Collector Car Auction, Evan McMullan, he maintained that Lucky Car is not responsible for any misrepresentation of vehicles sold and was unwilling to provide any reparations for the error, which I find to be a major impact as to the value and desirability of the truck. The owner of the truck was able to verify that he had not supplied the description as shown on the auction site, supporting the fact that the dealer is willing to add anything he wants to sell a vehicle without accepting any liability for inaccuracies. His actions amount to outright fraud and deceit.

Put seven lots in their last auction. They lied about what they would charge, charged for work that was not authorized, used a consigned vehicle as a tow rig, sent the wrong title, sent checks to wrong addresses, they were VERY slow pay (over two months in one case....one lame excuse after another). The office manager is unprofessional and crude. I would never recommend doing business there.....

Their events are really fun and have interesting cars. I am recommending my friends this year to attend and add a car to their collection.

Typical used car crook. They won’t honor a contract to make a few bucks off your classic car or call you back afterwards!

Terrible customer services! I export cars overseas for our military members and we must have an inspection of the vehicle done in order to obtain marine insurance. 3 times I have requested their services only to be "forgotten about" or told "we didn't see your request in time" or sent an email explaining issues getting on to the port the day the vessel is sailing! I even sent in the request 3 WEEKS ahead of time. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
