Simply amazing. I could have spent hours here reading the info on many of the bonsai. Unfortunately, I had my children along, and the 3 yo hasn't developed the slow down and appreciate quiet things quite yet. It's amazing what they've done taking that corner from nothing to what it is. I've also been to the Pacific Bonsai Museum near Federal Way. This is more of a natural setting than PBM, which feels more curated. We visited in mid-February, and it was definitely worth the visit, even though many of the deciduous trees didn't have their leaves. I'd love to visit in each season.

Stop if you want to see a 1300 year old bonsai. Little place taken care of by an elderly person. Great collection of bonsai trees.

I visited this magical place by chance in 2019.Today I'm glad I stopped there when I did.The small shop with lots of cute decorative items invites you to browse and the bonsai garden is phenomenal! The entrance fee isn't too high and it's definitely worth spending some time here

What a unique spot, so glad we stopped in and saw the gardens while passing through the area. We got to meet Dan who shared about the fascinating art of bonsai and encouraged us to start "growing our own oxygen" which we are actually now considering! The gardens were way bigger than they looked at first and the variety of trees was incredible.

Located along the water, this hidden gem is worth a visit! The gift shop is filled with a wonderful array of items from clothing to home decor. I took my time in the garden, reading all the signs and carefully observing the artistic twists and turns on each bonsai tree. There were not just the usual Pines or Junipers, but Dawn Redwood, Cedar, Rhododendron and even Rosemary! Not to mention numerous interesting rocks and sculptures. I was even welcomed by their cat and the owner. I found it to be a very peaceful, Zen experience.

Delightful place, you can see it quickly in 20 minutes or enjoy lingering here for a few hours, relaxing by the beautiful central pond or near the sound. I really appreciated the signs posted around some of the bonsai trees explaining their unusual history. And I had a fascinating conversation with the owner, learning about some of the more unusual specimens and getting some of my own questions about native species answered.

It’s inspiring and amazing to see the work and dedication of someone over decades to a particular craft. This bonsai garden is a great example of it, and reading the many descriptions beneath the trees shows the tireless work Mr. Robinson has contributed to his art.

I suspect winter was not the best time to visit, but it has potential. Fun & funky gift shop, too.

Visited 03/11/2023 and had to buy dans book (can’t wait to get it signed in the spring). My girlfriend and I toured the gardens and wow is it BIG and very well designed. You can see a lot of creativity, eagles by the water, the front desk was very welcoming, even the landscaper was friendly!! All in all you can tell who Dan and Diane are by the people they hire, the book written and the endless garden . Visited in the winter and overly satisfied.

Elandan Gardens is an amazing bonsai museum and store with beautiful plants and treasures from all over! It may appear unsuspecting from the road but I promise that if you stop in for a visit that you will be amazed! Dan, Diane, and their family will welcome you and educate you on many topics. Definitely a must visit!P.S. Give Big Boy, the cat a belly rub!

I first went to the Gardens four years ago and was stunned by the beauty. After viewing the amazing collection of bonsai I was taking in the beauty while sitting at water’s edge on a log, and an eagle perched at the other end! It was a special birthday gift! The shop is so well stocked with interesting and delightful jewelry, clothing, housewares, artwork, and there’s a resident cat to help you enjoy the visit. I love this place and shop there often to get gifts for special people. I highly recommend you do too. If I had a larger garden I’d buy more plants!

At the Northwest Flower and Garden Show I witnessed Dan treat this Hawaiian woman with a complete lack of respect. She asked if he knew any arborists who could trim a red pine, and he told her, "Nobody goes to Auburn except the Latino population, and they don't know what they're doing. How do you expect to take care of that bonsai tree you bought, if you can't take care of your red pine. I can't teach you how to prune a tree in 30 seconds."
