I believe the gentleman who helped me look for my dog food was the manager since I heard him discussing when staff should go to lunch. Not only was he so helpful to me as a customer, he treated his employees with respect and didn't seem to be a control freak as many managers are. I was most impressed with him and his over all attitude and work ethic. I am sure his employees work harder because of him and how he treats them.

Petco in Bremerton grooming: I have a new dog ( adult dog from a shelter) that had rolled in seal poop. Yes! Welcome to dog world. I really tried to wash him with shampoo ( first wash) then with special deodorizing shampoo ( second wash) then vinegar and soda ( third wash) and gave up and realized I needed professional help. Yes he is a big dog but I thought the right professional could help me with a simple shampoo. So here is where I made the first mistake. I thought that going to Petco in Bremerton would be a professional groomer that could help me. I didn't need anything frou frou fancy--just a shampoo. I brought all of the paperwork for a first grooming. I noticed that the groomers were dour and not friendly but thought it was just a busy day on weekend so maybe they were stressed. They did not talk to my dog or were friendly in any way but I didn't listen to my gut and trusted that they were professionals. I was told it was going to be three hours. I was having phone issues so I made sure-three hours is when I come back to get him? Yes. I believe it was Raine who signed me in and was the most likeable of the three--which isn't saying much, but I believed that I could rely on them so I wasn't judging. It is only on retrospect that I am apalled by how horrible they were to me and my dog. I got a call two hours in to pick him up immediately because he 'went to the bathroom' in the kennel. I was immediately worried about my dog but also sympathetic to the groomers. (wrong!) I left and went immediately checked in about ten minutes after the call. A very sour Raine shoved a paper at me and told me to pay before they would get the dog. A friendly manager helped me pay (Matthew) and asked me about my experience and asked if I wanted to tip ( I did). I was getting a vague feeling that I or my dog had done something very very bad ( that is how these ridiculous women were acting) so I told him 'I don't know. It sounds like my dog acted up.' Micheal was super supportive and nice and explained the Petco program. He said "Oh that happens." and that I needed to get my dog used to grooming with multiple visits. So I turn to get my dog at the groomers counter. A young woman who I did not know was holding him in place with a slip lead. ( I walk him with a slip lead so I was surprised by how crazy he was acting in trying to get away from her-he was basically choking himself in the slip lead but she just continued to hold it up-ignoring his distress and talking horribly to me as if I were garbage. I was immediately confused. You know when someone tries hard to insult you and it takes a minute to realize that is what is happening because you are confused that this person could possibly be going out of their way to be so mean and horrible to attack you? That is what happened. I tried to calm my dog and put on his harness while this girl stood there and said " This is not the place for him." ( I am confused-busy weekend? why is this the wrong place? I asked what she meant.) "No to a groomer" ( so...my shelter dog isn't good enough to be groomed? Mind you this is not some bougie dog grooming place-it is PETCO) I really had a bad time with getting the seal smells off him so I asked, still thinking she was a professional and meant well " Should I then ask to get a groomer in a van?" " oh no" she told me "no." I asked where he shoud go. She said " I don't know. A hose in your yard with a bucket?" Yes. She said that. I realized then that not only were these people not really professionals but they were small, mean and horrible people--(WHO?? goes out of their way to insult a NEW customer who just paid over a 100$ plus tips to their business and them?) Among the ridiculous things said were that my dog was 'banned for a year' so that he could bond to me. (The most ridiculous arbitrary BS-and directly contradicting manager's advice). I have been buying Vital dog food from both the Poulsbo and this Bremerton store. The customer service and freshness of the refrigerated dogfood is top quality in Bremerton. I have been given expired Vital refrigerated dog food twice at the poulsbo petco. The food was expired over 3 months.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, and I can always get what I need here. Unfortunately, the store needs to be cleaned more frequently and thoroughly. They are unaware of dog accidents on the floor and need to consistently supply a disinfectant spray for those of us that care to clean up after our pets. I'm sure this is in part because they only have few staff on hand, and are unable to walk through the store to maintain it during business hours while helping customers. The staff really are so friendly, which is what keeps us going back honestly.

Unfortunately this store is NOT listed on the petco website and we are not able to place online orders for pickup at this store, nor can you browse the stores inventory on website. Incredibly frustrating as they do NOT carry as many options for things as other petcos do.

Every staff member I interacted with was incredibly helpful! There weren't many staff members there during my visit; I imagine they must be exhausted by the end of their day. Thank you for your helpfulness and thoughtfulness!

Seems to be out of a lot of products. Dog food is minimal and so are their collars.Updated as of today, 12/13/23I updated my repeat delivery to 2 bags of dog food. The day of delivery got a text that my order was on the way. 45 minutes later said it was cancelled for no reason.I called PETCO and the lady put my order back in. Thought that was it. Literally less than 5 minutes later I get another text stating that it is cancelled.So I call back and was informed that it was out of stock. I asked the young man to just cancel the order (Tractor Supply has it in stock) which he did. I specifically asked him if my card was going to charged since it already said pending a d he ensured me it would not.Woke up this morning and there is a charge from PETCO. So once again, I contact PETCO and I am told that it will be credited back. In 5-7 days.That is theft! Especially since I specifically went over this with your employee. To make things worse, I asked for a manager, who was busy and would call back. Still no phone call.At this point I have closed my acct and would like my money back immediately. If I walk into your store and and take "what I want going to buy" and decide not to pay for it for 5-7 days you would call the police.Used to be a faithful customer, but this will the last time you will get a dime out of me!(This same letter will be placed on any review sight I can find - that is how frustrated you have me!!!)
