The Puget Sound Navy Museum is an extremely pleasant and free museum in the heart of Bremerton, located right next to the ferry terminal. It is an exhilarating testament to the naval history of the town and the Pacific Northwest. The museum features a fairly nice and well-narrated collection organized by time period, ship type, and more. Exhibits include old gear, ships, submarines, a diving helmet, and a large typewriter, offering tons of cool facts and learning opportunities. The environment is safe, sensory friendly, very cleanly, and organized. The staff provides a warm welcome and is super nice, very welcoming, helpful, and kind. They care deeply in educating visitors while also letting them experience activities like simulations and building activities. The museum has three levels of exhibits and takes about two hours or less to see fully. While there is no parking at the site, there is lots of free two-hour parking close by. It is a friendly meeting place of past and present and a must visit for an unexpected and fun educational experience.

This was an unexpected find at Bremerton. Went for a joyride (ferry) on a sunny day and found this place. Nice piece of history, warm welcome by the staff and fairly nice and well-narrated collection.
Overall, a must visit if you are in Bremerton.
