Had to switch to Safeway pharmacy in my network with new drug prescription plan and when they set up my account they never mentioned they were going to have inventory issues with my medication so that they had to backorder for 3 months in a row. some of my meds I did not get until the 5th of the month when it actuality I was supposed to get them on the 29th on the months before. The first month they said when they couldn't fill my prescriptions on time, they said it shouldn't happen again. I come to find out the truth that they are only allowed a maximum of a specific drug and once they hit that mark they can't fill any more prescriptions. Had I known there was going to be an issue every month even to the point of not having my prescriptions filled until 4 weeks late, I would have never ever chosen safeway. Thanks be to God that my prescription was not going to be filled until 3 weeks later. They can't even fill basic prescriptions. They tell me to have to get ahold of my doctor instead of them getting a hold of him, they say they're electronic system is down and to contact my doctor once again to fax the prescription instead. My doctor then said that their electronics we're now working and he sent my prescription again. I received no apology find Safeway over the last, just excuses and no empathy that I have several painful conditions I suffer from and will suffer from more pain and physical withdrawal from not having my prescriptions filled. I was told that they set up the system for me as if I should be grateful! For what point? And yes, they really said that. I guess I'm supposed to be grateful for not getting my most important medications.I went from being an athlete, to a hit-and-run vehicle crash by a drunk driver and a victim of crime with physical injury to becoming disabled. I did not want this for myself. This is about quality of life and I am beyond angry! I will be switching from Safeway Pharmacy as soon as I'm able. EDIT -- this is the first month out of 4 months where I actually got my prescription close, not on, but close to the date they needed to be refilled and that was 4 days ago. I'm not going to hold my breath! if this happens again I'm not only going to switch pharmacies, I'm going to request a complaint form and send it straight to corporate. It is ridiculous that MONTHLY prescriptions are not in their inventory and have to be back ordered. Thank you for the views of over 200 people. I hope this assist you in at least two pharmacy reviews to choose the correct pharmacies and the ones to avoid. Fred Meyer's pharmacy in Bremerton have weekday staff that are awesome. Don't have your doctor have your prescriptions filled on the weekend. The pharmacist John has the most unprofessional demeanor, he forgets a lot of things like erroneously filling two prescriptions of the same medicine and neglecting to fill the ones I requested. My last day patronizing their pharmacy was because I was told my medicines were ready and when my daughter got there none of them were filled. When you're relying on other people to run errands for you, you don't want them to have to go twice. Any conscientious mother to my daughter and she's too busy to mess around with an unprofessional pharmacist John... AGAIN!

I have very strong concerns about this pharmacy they mess up my meds so often I had to go up management, strange thing is I've never complained about any place before and if it was my water pills the only thing they mess up. They are very vital to my day to day going 8 days without it and a trip to hospital is ridiculous

Holy cow the wait is long, and no communication whatsoever. Over a half hour wait for a scheduled vaccine appointment. Not so much as a "we'll be right with you".That said, the staff was friendly when interacting with customers.

I love picking up my groceries from Julie and her team at the McWilliams Safeway. Quality groceries every time. I swear Julie cares more about the quality of my produce than I do and when she has to make a substitution it is always the best possible choice. It’s such a great experience that the only time I go in to the store is when I need a booster or flu shot.

If you enjoy waiting in line, and being treated like a number, then this is the pharmacy for you. Seriously, why does anyone use Safeway pharmacy? They're the absolute worst. There's nothing like bumping into someone you know, while you're picking up your diarrhea medicine or whatever. I needed glucose tablets last week, because my blood sugar was dropping while I was getting food, and they didn't even have them. Glucose tablets are pretty friggin important, and if you need them, it's not something that you can go without. They keep them behind the counter, too, which is ridiculous. I guess they were getting stolen a lot, but whoever was stealing glucose tablets must have really needed them, too. It's not like some luxury item or something. If you're hypoglycemic, glucose tablets are absolutely essential to have with you at all times. Having a sudden drop in blood sugar is really scary, especially if you're in public by yourself. I had to stand there in the isle of the grocery store chugging orange juice, shaking and disoriented, hoping that I wasn't going to fall over. The scariest thing is, if it did get that bad that I passed out, people would probably just assume I was on drugs or something and call law enforcement instead of an ambulance. All because the pharmacy didn't have glucose tablets in stock. I wish I could give a lower rating than 1 star.

I went to the bakery to pick up a cake that my mom ordered after hours and even though they were short staffed, Paige came back to help me. We had an issue but between Paige's positive attitude that went above and beyond what was needed and Travis' quick commitment to ensuring our issue was resolved effectively, what could have been a terrible night became a shining example of superb customer service. Also a quick shot out to Michelle for her assist! Thank you Safeway team!

Heaven help me I have no idea why I continue to use there curbside pick up. At this store on the corner of McWilliams and 303. I'm 65 yo with a compromised immune system I walk with a cane, and at the moment a torn Meniscus in my lt. knee which needs to be babied for a while. I check the no substitutes, I write a comment only give me what's pictured and ordered not one big pork chop over a pound each. What do I get one lg pork chop over a lb. and the drop off person says there the same so I gave you this one pointing to the invoice. Um NO of course I don't see until I get home. The last three pick ups have been a mess. 20 (twenty), 17oz bottles of Ice Sparkling water in one bag 9 lbs. of meat in the other bag. Meats all wrong even when stated no substitutes. I buy in bulk and vacuum seal then freeze it. A recipe that calls for 2 orange bell pepper and I get two green ones and told well we wanted you to have bell peppers so we gave you green ones the only one we had. NOT what the recipe calls for orange, and ones I don't eat. I did get a refund for them still I don't like wasting food. I called to let them know that 20 bottles in one bag was way to heavy along with the mess up in meat. The young kid I talked to said he's sorry but the tone was off and like what do you want me to do. I've learned my lesson if I ever use curbside again stick to anything but produce and meat. They can't unless they don't pay attention to no subs mess that up to much. Back to Walmart even thought it's in Poulsbo and Safeway just down the road. The time and gas is worth it. I get what I asked for and a choice to bag it or not. They prices are better too unless Safeway has a sale on what I need.

I'm okay with this Safeway it isn't my go to store but its the only one in the area to pick up those essentials. Cashiers are cool in my book. However this isn't a complaint but another warning. Those gypsy con artists. They play that odious accordion music! Couldn't stand it. However these guys are possibly con artists and Safeway management they could possibly be a part of a very sinister crime ring. I watched them from a distance while waiting for my ride, there was a child that was accompanied the accordion couple. The child sure didn't look like he was even from around Bremerton. Red flag? The accordion. The instruement I believe is popular in other countries, not so much here in the U.S. Just a hunch. Unsure what you could do. They situate themselves right up at the Stop sign when customers are leaving to turn onto the street. I'm pretty street smart & its a shame I see something like this. It's the whole reason I moved to Kitsap County. But word of warning everyone ( including the military as they seem to be the favorites, I know) Beware! it just didn't look right to me. Apologize but I'm not real trusting.

This pharmacy is scary : I used them once they screw up the number of tablets I need to have for my condition: first time ever that happened to me : then there is a medication i need to have : I called them to follow up : low and behold they will not have the medication until many weeks : they did not even bother to call the pt to let them know: that is a bad service. I am transferring pharmacy no doubt.

* Experience with bakery and management from almost a year ago ** Originally rated this place a 1-star, but it's still a Safeway and management didn't belittle our issue with the bakery employee We will never buy a cake here again. Not only were we ignored for 20 mins (we were watching the person in the back, but didn't want to bother them if they weren't supposed to be working the counter), but when a manager finally waved this worker over and when we were finally "helped", it was one of the worse interactions we've had in a long time. This was a cake for our kid's birthday. A little kid who hasn't been able to experience the joys of kindergarten or even invite family or friends over to celebrate. All he had to look forward to was this cake. We get it, it's been a tough time, maybe she was tired. But then the next day when we picked up the cake, not only were our requests clearly not noted, but the cake itself was poorly decorated in general. Never ever again. Our son was still grateful, but as parents, this whole thing was a heartbreaking experience, especially during such a hard time for people. We are extremely grateful to the management team who showed concern for our experience and kept trying to offer to give us a replacement cake. They were apologetic for what we went through, at the same time though, they did not throw their employee under the bus. They seemed shocked by this employee's actions, which might or might not have been genuine, but we can appreciate when leaders don't bad mouth their workers. They were able to handle this situation gracefully.
