I would like to say panhandling for donations at the checkout by machine or by human for what ever organization,is a bad look with no class.just sell the food.or go out front with a Safeway sign need more.

Y'all gonna come pick up your grocery cart or what. Alleyway of State and Chester. I've called this in every week for a month, and am told, of course, it'll be picked up on their next run. Figure it out.

At Deli, never felt so upset. Asked for 1 lb. Ham he got upset then I had to get his attention again and he was annoyed because I needed London broil sandwich meat. He made sure to show how upset he was ugh

Today in late afternoon I shopped. While self-checking-out 4 items I needed assistance 3 times. It was very graciously provided by a young man, tall, stocky, very long black hair. Afterward he ran after me to return the $20 bill I had left in the machine. Talk about excellent staff---Thx, Mick Clark

As someone who is not local, and has never shopped at a Safeway... I must say, I find this place insufferable. It's just the little things. A 10-20% discount, but for members only? Fuck off. This place is a bottom tier grocery store at best, it shouldn't need a membership. Know your place..

This Review is mainly for the Hot Food Deli.... Ordered the Chinese Shanghai Meal for 2 and gotta say it was pretty bad! Not sure who the chef is, but the Beef with Broccoli wasn't tasty at all. Tasted a bit old and sour.... Had to throw it out when we got home from the store. The Fried Rice was totally bland, lacked salt and seasoning. Eggrolls were atrocious, and the Chow Mein had no flavor whatsover! Bad Chinese, even if from an American grocery store. The only edible thing were the Sesame Chicken and so-called Korean Beef, even though it wasn't really Korean. Otherwise, no good Chinese food! Parking lot is kind of compact, lanes are small and hard to maneuver in. Bakery and Deli foods do not seem all that fresh. Pre-made Ham and Swiss Sandwich was alright...

We are fairly new to the area after having most recently lived in Hawaii, overseas in the Middle East, and Southern California. We are certainly city people with his standards and expectations. This is a decent spot. Fairly clean. Decent selections in produce, dry goods, frozen section, bakery, prepared foods, and even alcohol. It won't knock your socks off, but neither is it deserving of many of the past negative reviews. Maybe times have changed. Maybe it's new management. Whatever it is, they seem to have turned themselves around from whatever their past weaknesses were. It's conveniently located with plenty of parking, fast lines, and a reasonable selection. Given that we're talking about Bremerton... not bad at all.

At first i didn't check what got delivered during the covid virus isolation. I just ordered lots of stuff, it came, then in a day or two I'd be wondering why I didn't have such and such. So these last two orders, we went down our list to see exactly what was missing. Ordered three avacados, got one. Billed for three. Ordered cut watermelon, didn't come. Billed for it anyway. And so on. There appears to be no way in the delivery system to report back on over charges for missing items. I suspect an intentional con going on somewhere in the mix.

I like this Safeway. They have good prices on discounted product. The salt and vinegar wings are off the hook. The claw machine is no good, weakest claw in town please do not put your quarters in their machine. Self check out makes for a speedy exit.

it was 9:59 pm when I approached the front door and none of the employees would honor my 4 2 free monopoly tickets coupons and give me my tickets. federal law mandates I can't go INTO the store during this pandemic. also they'd already violated the law by having customers in line in there past 10pm. the law says nothing about employees still on the clock honoring their company's promotions. if this location wasn't so close to my house I would NEVER EVER shop there again. shame on every last employee in the store. -1000 stars.

I'm an old guy. I don't get around very well in recent years. The Callow Safeway is my go-to grocery store a bit over a mile from my home. I shop there twice a week. There's handicap parking and a store mobility cart available for me about 95% of the time, 100% if I shop off-peak hours. The selection is good, the prices competitive, and the place is clean and well lighted. The hot deli is heavily Chinese food and fried chicken. While the food is very good, I'd wish it more diversified but they do a lively business so maybe it's me. I love the sandwich bar where they make you exactly what you want the way you want it made and the self serve hot soup is excellent and well tended. I get my medication at the Safeway pharmacy where they offer flu shots etc in season. The test of an enterprise is not the rare error but how quickly they provide remedy. These's been a few mixzups in my medications (change of staff at my physician's office) and after a little back and forth (unbenownst to me) the pharmasist promptly remedied the issue.I've been shopping at the Callow Safeway since it opened for business in that location in the '60's. Not once in all that time have I felt irritation, much less a need to complain about the staff, service, or clientele. I've looked through the negative revews. I'd suggest that a potential shopper disregard them as sorehead responses to mispercieved single incidents. Sometimes in miserable weather you might find street people in the dining area catching a few minutes of warmth and comfort. My experience is most are gentle souls with good manners, often with a good turn of conversation if one cares to engage them. Finally, I'm grateful to the people at Callow Safeway for being so helpful (often more than I really need) to a gimpy old guy find stuff, help load sacks of groceries, etc.
