It is funny that my opinion of this Winco has changed since the opening of the Silverdale location. Between the homeless man lighting himself on fire in the bathroom and an elderly man getting stabbed multiple times in the parking lot and the various drug and craigslist deals going on in the parking lot I just do not feel safe shopping at this location. The fact that they have so much shoplifting that they have to close one side of their check-out lane is frustrating. Ultimately, this Winco is a reflection of the some of the customers and it has gone downhill fast. Last time I shopped here I felt like I was on a game show finding various deli food items in various locations (freezer, behind sodas, and in produce). I will drive the extra 10 minutes to shop at the Silverdale location!

Not only is there a large amount of individuals begging when you come to this store. They just denied my Loved one and I entry because we had our emotional support dogs with us. I guess this store supports panhandling but doesn't care about individual who need emotional support from their pets.

Priorities of management are beyond questionable. 10 open self checkout registers yet 16 items are far too many to use self checkout. Two cashiers are not sufficient for the large amount of costumers who were turned away from self checkout. Never been an issue before. Honestly prices have been not much lower then Safeway's so they probably lost a loyal customer of 3 years.

I usually go to the new Winco in Silverdale and have always had a great experience. I was in the area, so I went to the Bremerton location. Everything went as per usual until I went to check out at the self checkout. There are about 20 self checkout lines. Only one other one of the 20 had a customer checking out, the rest empty. I started scanning my items and a nasty employee came up and rudely told me to pack my items back up and go to a regular checkout where they all had lines of people checking out. She said I had more than 15 items. I replied "are you serious I might have like 18". She rudely replied "yes, I'm serious. you need to go to a regular checkout" I packed up my already scanned items and walked over and stood in line to check out. On my way out I noticed it is a suggested 'about 15 items'. The situation may not have frustrated me if there was a long line of people trying to check out at self checkout or if the woman was nicer, or if I wasn't in a hurry to get my son from school and now had to wait in a line. I was waiting for a punk'd crew to jump out. Unfortunately this was not the case. Just a power tripping self checkout worker.

This Winco is clean and has lots a large lot. Workers are all friendly. The checkout line is fast. They don't accept credit card. Wish the fruits could be a little fresher but overall great place to pick up groceries.

Self check out cashiers are unreliable. You'll be stuck at the self check out register for years before someone even notices you. 98% of the time they'll walk by you and not do sh*t. This morning I picked up some items for dinner. My husband accidentally started bagging things causing the machine to pause for assistance, once the cashier walked over she's looking in our bagged items then says we aren't allowed to scan prime rib at self check out, then with an attitude says that she will, "let this slide this one time and to not do this ever again." I was finishing my purchase and had alcohol to be scanned next and she turns to me and asks if I'm gonna scan the alcohol since she's here already to check ID of "whoever is buying"I've always tried to avoid this location, never had any problems until the last couple visits. Almost wanted to say screw it and had her go put my items away: Can't check out prime rib at self check out? Make a damn sign and post it on every machine. Maybe fix your tone? I don't know get a new job. Girl. If you hate your job, JUST SAY IT. If you have to shop here, bless your soul. Going with my gut and shopping at the commissary next time.

Not enough cashier!!! Management slow to respond when cashier needs them!!! They need fixing to be common sense!!! 've seen 6 people in this store without masks. It's disgusting. Store management needs to get on top of tossing out anti maskers.

Been shopping here for a few years, since it opened, and over time aggravations mount up. The prices have sneaked up and up until it's not much savings at all unless you shop self-defensively. They also have fairly limited stock in many areas and their system of suggestions of what to carry has no effect whatsoever on what they sell. A very few of the check-out people verge on insane in their crabbiness. Not accepting credit cards will NEVER be a good idea for any business, it's like cutting off their own nose and thinking that's saving money when they're only losing customers. And self-packaging in any way that doesn't slow down the line does not permit one to watch the till being added up so you won't find the commonplace errors these amateur tellers make (always in the store's behalf) until you get home and check the receipt by which time who wants to bother going back to demand a refund. Really a very annoying store for its general lack of service and no curb-pick-up during the virus isolation. Their slogan seems to be "We don't care because we can't be fired!" and it weakens my former love of worker coops. But what the hey, it's nearby, you can still save if you shop self-defensively and just expect to have to go somewhere else for a lot of things, and I still have this vague desire to support worker coops even if the workers don't all seem happy to be there.

I don't know that I have ever experienced such horrible customer service, and I have been in the field for 30 years. This morning 3-19-20 at 8am I decided to do a little shopping before work. I picked this time due to the pandemic situation. As I went to the self checkout I was the only one waiting in line. When I noticed someone about to leave I started that direction. That person needed assistance so I backed away. A blonde lady (worker) started yelling at me to get in line. As I looked over there is now at least 10 people in line. Just then there was an opening and I started going forward when that lady started yelling so loud telling me to get to the end of the line. I told her I was the first in the line and she up in my face told me I was not and I need to go behind all those people. Luckily a man who was behind me told her I was first in line and stop yelling. She proceeded to continue the whole way to that register. She said fine as she continued yelling telling me I wasnt first. I'm pretty sure everyone is stressed with the whole situation, but that woman needs to take a class on how you treat a paying customer. Normally I would let this go, but she needs to learn from someone who can handle any situation. I would be be willing to assist in that. More puzzling it wasn't even busy!! Wish I got her name before I left.

If you happen to be a person of color just trying to grab dinner with your kids you get accused of trying to steal items when going through self checkout. They will send the manager and another employee over to your station to go through your stash while you face the humiliation of being searched. Bremerton Winco, you failed BIG TIME tonight (12/13/19).

This grocery market has decent prices that can only be beat by a commissary from within a military base or a membership in Costco. The establishment has always been clean when visited and they are open around the clock, which is extremely convenient. Most of their restocking is done right after midnight efficiently and mostly out of the way.Once you know which specific items they have that are their best deals, that's good on you. My only complaint is that some items, namely their brown rice cannot be bought in bigger bulk. I have only seen smaller pouches.

I'm dropping a star for this updated review. For one brief shining moment the produce department was truly outstanding, displaying fresh produce--the quality equal to the more expensive chain supermarkets--at a great price. But that moment has sadly passed. My wife and I typically shop on Saturday or Sunday late morning or early afternoon. Common sense dictates the produce shelves and bins should be stocked with the best produce during those peak shopping times. Not here. Instead they're filled wilted, wrinkled and softened produce bell peppers, green onions, cilantro, jalapenos, grapes, bananas that should have been pulled earlier in the week because that same stock was put out the week before. But I guess when you only have one clerk lackadaisically replacing the old stuff, he's not going to get much done during his shift--especially while YOU'RE shopping. My wife and I have learned what loose and packaged produce items are usually OK to buy (tip: be sure to check those expiration dates on bagged items, checking further back in the row to make sure you've got the freshest stuff) and which items we'll buy at the next supermarket we shop at that day. We've also discovered that with some items--like the bell peppers, fresh corn, cilantro--they seem second quality, bought at a lower price. Those items are smaller than what I see elsewhere, and sometimes misshapen. So, while we love Winco for the impressive values in the grocery aisles and throughout the store. except for their fresh meats and seafood. Much of the beef appears to have been cut by apprentice butchers, and like some of the produce much of the seafood also looks second quality. So, those are my two main gripes with Winco. But to end this review on a positive note (after all they're still getting three stars from me) we save at least $100 every week by buying most of our groceries there. Many regular priced-items are cheaper than the sales prices for those same items at other supermarkets. With some items--like bacon--Winco will lower their price on some brands to be below the sale price at the chains. We walk out of Winco with maybe seven bags of groceries while for that same cost at the major chains we'd fill up at most three grocery bags. So I still recommend you shop at Winco as long as know WHAT to buy there.

Was told this morning by some grump that I'm "not allowed" to shop bulk foods until 0800. That's a first. Punishing your early risers now, huh?

It's Winco, predictively laid out, great prices, friend staff. Selections are a little limited, bulk bins ave a great selection. I usually don't like shopping so the fact I could run in and pick up a deli pack on the 4th of July Quickly was great. I planned it to be a fast purchase- I told my driver "keep the car running!"
