I have been going to this ace hardware since they opened and have never been disappointed. On my list today was a chainsaw blade, and a few other items. As I was getting out of my car I noticed my car was not locking and figured my battery was dead in my key fob. A soon as I walked in Shannon was there at the counter found the proper battery and replaced it on the spot while I gathered my other items. I was in and out quickly and got everything I needed plus the new battery for my key. My expectations were exceeded and it will continue to be a regular store for me.

I went 9/22/25 well dressed, business casual, and One african american manager and other employee, old caucasian that looks like Santa Claus, the manager was following me and staring at me up and down, constantly, like if I was a homeless tring to steal something, made me very unconfortable, to the point to almos ask them what was their problem. No need of that, not every body is a dug addict in Washington. Should be commun sence. Ace Corporation, train your minimum wage people with some maners.

Very bad experience today, I spoke with the manager Shannon. He made it worse.
I definitely will not go there again.
Here is what happened.
I bought EGO weed whacker a few weeks back, great tool.
I came back to purchase 24 inch EGO hedge trimmer I saw there.
They were out of stock, I brought the bar code up front to see about the 24 inch tool for $219.
They will order and call me, they never called.
No big deal.I called them after a week to see if it there, Alright it’s there.
26 inch at $269. That’s not what I ordered.
It’s the wrong item.
They are sorry , wasted my time.
Some stores fix things by adjusting price or using a coupon to smooth things out.
I could go to west Seattle or Lowe’s. I wanted to keep it local.
The managers beside manner leaves a lot to be desired. Basically listen to my problems with the wrong item at higher price , nothing he was able to do.After five second's he turned back and walked away..
I was dumbfounded . Wow!
That’s the Burien Ace Hardware.
All the employees were great, my experience with Shannon the manager was out of the books as the worst example of.
customer service.
Turn back and walk away , I knew the conversation was over when he was twenty feet down the aisle.
I was looking at the back of his head.
I guess we are done I said to myself.
I was , nice , sane rational.
It’s not the end of the world.
I’ll purchase it at west Seattle Ace hardware or Lowe’s.
Maybe some good will come from this.

I've been looking for things that Home Depot and Lowe's didn't carry. [You'd think by the sheer magnitude of these stores that their inventory would go above and beyond any neighborhood chain. NOT the case!) I've been able to find obscure items in more than a few Aces! So thanks guys(& gals) for remembering that not everyone else in the world wants framing hammers, Stihl saws, and paint chips in the vast multiple shades of white!
And the employees are a delightfully rare group with a great sense of humour.
