B & E meats has down hill. Their pepperoni was really dry and hard. Their turkey jerky was very dry. They’re not selling their meats and due to their customer service as well as the quality of meats, turkey jerky, and their pepperoni. Be aware when shopping here you won’t get the great service or quality of meats here. They’re awful and there prices and very poor quality.

Very nice meat and fish plus other gourmet food and wine. Love their smoked and candied salmon. Tasty beef jerky but they use nitrites as a preservative so I avoid them. Have dog bones. Good marinaded beef and chicken, ideal for the bbq. The prices are very high. Higher than choice meat and fish at PCC and not organic. It’s the place you go to get quality, not save money.

You're getting 1 star because of your employee Mauricio and his tude. Don't know what his problem was and don't care. Your steaks were of great quality. Too bad the level of service doesn't match!

This place is top notch! I love going here. Always friendly employees even when there are stressed with a ton of customers. They will give advice on cooking there wonderful products. My favorite is the country bacon ! I was there shortly after they opened on Christmas Eve. They did a hell of a great job. Not only was the place packed. But the parking lot was as well. It was crazy busy. And the great employees did there best. They walk you through the entire process the same employees start you sell and ring you up. And yes I tip them. I highly recommend this place. I got king salmon last time. I am super excited to cook it for Christmas dinner

When we first moved to the area, our local friends said 'go to B&E Meats, they are awesome'. So we did. Over the course of a year we bought a lil of this and that. Overall I think we tried about 60% of their meat offerings- with the rare fish. Here are my thoughts on the various cuts we have purchased. They were just OK. I spent $75 last week, on a piece of flank steak and ribeye. It was just ok and an expensive just ok and I guess that's what we say everytime we buy meat there. On top of this I'd love to see a level of warm service when I step in the store. If you don't buy an expensive cut of meat...there's a tad attitude. Which brings me to the tip. Why are we tipping for our meat service? We pay a premium for said meat. Is there a difference of service if I go to PCC? Or whole Foods? Of course not. So why am I now tipping for my meat service at B&E? Does the owner of B&E pay a 'wait staff' hourly rate so they need our tips for simply giving basic just ok service? I wanted to love B&E like I've loved other butcher shops over the years when we lived in CA and IL...but sadly, no. Just OK.

At first I was kinda hating. Basic meats are kinda overpriced. But it's a butcher. Right? We are getting excellent cuts and payin for it apparently. I'm a chef and I openly say this place is overpriced $1.50-$1 per pound, if not more in some cases but.... Four stars for being on point, having knowledgeable people who work here. Always having rabbit. Always have bones for stalk. And will give me what other places can't. Most recently I got a pork crown roast. I couldn't find one anywhere and their guys filled the order like it was Tuesday. Soooo will I come here everyday, no. But when I need the good good. This place is my go to.

Wow. If you are looking for smoked or cured fish as a souvenir from Seattle, you better put down that kitschy boxed stuff and come here! The fish here tastes and smells like the high quality, flavorful, well-made stuff it is. The fish looks beautiful too. They let us try the regular smoked salmon, the garlic, and the candied. All superb. Be warned the candied stuff - heck, all of them are addicting. The cost may seem high, but it is completely justified. You aren't getting bottom of the barrel keta (translated from native tongue to "dog") fish or "pink" salmon (only 1 tier up), you're getting fresh fish. There was no hint of gross "fishy" smell before or after eating. (To make your salmon last longer, may I suggest enjoying your salmon with rice and veggies, or in a sandwich?) They also sell high quality pork, beef, chicken, and other things in the freezer like sausage, duck, cheese. They also have pretty nicely priced wines for sale, from low $10s and up. Whites, reds, and bubblies. Highly recommend you make the side-tour to this joint for salmon. A fish dressed to impress that will win you praises.

Best smoked tri-tip ready to eat in King County! Perfect for a hike down to Seahurst Park to enjoy the views of the Olympics. They have a great selection and each store specializes in a particular in-house preparation. Some stores do the smoking and some do the cutting, then distribute to each location. Locally sourced and processed is a huge benefit with the strains on supply chains. Try their Hawaiian pork any way you cook it, can't go wrong.

I'm not sure what happened to this place. They used to sell high quality meat, then it went downhill. Did their management change recently? We had 3 incidents since last summer. Last summer, we got 2 racks of pork ribs. They weren't cheap... we paid over $50 for 2 racks. When we opened the package, it smelled awful like it had gone bad. We took it back and the staff was nice enough to refund the money--thank you. We thought they just had a bad day. Ok. I have a bad day too so we let that one go. Then a couple of months later I got 2 ribeye steaks. The quality wasn't good, and they weren't cheap either. It was chewy and excessively fatty. We didn't return it because we cooked them already, although a half of them went into trash. We started to become really skeptical of B&E's quality. Then today, we bought their stuffed salmon. Driving home, we started to smell rotten fish in the car. We immediately turned around and got a refund. The shop staff was really nice about it (thank you) but this was strike #3 in less than a year. I think we had enough. I really hope the management will do something about rotten meat and fish being sold.
