This grocery store is a shopping delight for most items, but unfortunately, their produce leaves much to be desired. The store boasts a wide selection of grocery essentials, household items, and packaged goods, making it convenient for everyday needs. However, the produce section is a disappointment. The fruits and vegetables often look wilted, bruised, or past their prime. Despite this drawback, the store redeems itself with friendly staff, affordable prices, and a diverse product range. It's a go-to spot for all your non-perishable necessities, but for fresh produce, you might want to explore other options.

I typically would only stop by when it’s on my way & I don’t want to drive to white center to Castillo but man, last time I was there … I asked for chicken legs & then ham, & I watched as the lady grabbed the ham WITH THE SAME GLOVE AS THE RAW CHICKEN. Is was already bad enough she hadn’t changed gloves to begin with, coming from the back.. So when I brought it to her attention that I would appriciate if she changed gloves she had an attitude & when I asked her if she can grab a different ham she just ignored me & sang to the music that was playing, I proceeded to tell her I didn’t want it anymore. When I went to pay for my produce I told the lady at the front desk & she didn’t really seem to care either. This happens too many times at a lot of carnicerías — y’all need to do better!! It’s common sense. Cross contamination!

Amazing little restaurant in the back and it’s not even really a restaurant per say but it’s a great place to get food and it’s all made by real authentic Spanish ninas and I love them all and they know what they are doing and they make it with love that’s for sure! The best tamales ever for real and the beans and rice and then go shoping cause they have a killer store with all Mexican ingredients! To die for and I hate I don’t speak Spanish but i want to learn just to show them the respect of their culture and great food! Thanks for everything!!

Went to the restaurant in the back, ordered 4 tacos and a tamale to go. Pretty pricey. Tripa tacos lacked flavor, couldn't even taste the Cilantro and onions, so those were no help in the flavor department. Added lemon and that helped a little, a very little. The Tortillas are made in house, those were pretty good. The tamale also lacked flavor. It was supposed to be an elote tamale. And elote has flavor, this tamale did not. Pretty underwhelmed for the amount of money spent.

Had most of what I was looking for, Indian spices and veg, but was probably meant for restaurants, only had bulk sizes of many things. I wasn't able to find smaller sizes or packaging.

Overall the store has a good selection of Latin/Mexican Goods, so if you are looking for some Latin/Mexican products you most likely it find it here, the Fruits/Vegetables is limited but has enough for you to buy if you need something small... Meat selection is decent plus they have prepared food ready to pickup if you need it, some cooked other already prepare just need cooking... Note: if you are buying less than $5 then make sure you have cash, since Credit/Debit Card is only accepted if you buy more than that... Not sure if they charge you a fee for using Credit/Debit card.
