I haven’t been to a salon in years and usually do an acceptable-ish job on my hair but I’m in a wedding and wanted something professional and beyond my skill level. I went to Lindy and I can’t overstate her skills. I found photos of her blonde work online and found her salon. I took a boat from Port Orchard because of her skills! She has given me the most gorgeous tone that although super close to my inspo photo is just way, way better. It’s exactly what I wanted! I can’t stop looking at it! She’s fun to talk to, and I’m so excited I finally found a stylist who exceeded my hopes. Thank you Lindy!

This is for Tee! She has been my hair stylist/colorist for a year now after she rescued me from a botched color job from a different salon. She NEVER lets me down! I was a blonde for a year and it was absolutely gorgeous, received so many compliments during that time. I recently decided I wanted to go a little darker. I couldn’t really describe it to Tee, but I had an image in my head. Without an inspo photo, Tee still gave me exactly what I wanted! An absolutely beautiful darker tone but with just enough color peeking through to give dimension. It’s soooo pretty! I always leave Tee’s chair feeling happy. <3

So glad I found a salon I love in Burien. I used to travel to Seattle to get my hair done but now-no need. Warm inviting nicely decorated space, great customer service with convenient scheduling and reminders sent, and hairdressers that know their stuff. Recommend!

TLDR: This review is for Tee cause she’s a godsent-miracle worker for someone with my hair 1000/10. Incredibly talented, patient, AMAZING negotiator, and very thorough.
I seldomly write reviews but when I do, I’m thorough for the right people.
Hair Background:
I have very long, VERY thick coarse/dry hair. Texture is a mix of wavy/curly, incredibly frizzy with years of heat damage.
I am a very low maintenance girly and treat any sort of self-care treatment as a luxury so I go all out and make it worth it every time when I do. I take my time to research and am very meticulous on who I let service me in any way; lash extensions, massages, facials, waxes, and especially my hair. I have a go-to person for each thing and I go to them for life if I love their work.
I struggled to find someone to do my hair for the last 3 years because my last stylist who I’ve been loyal to (8+ years); closed down her shop and I hadn’t had a haircut, let alone a color service since. My hair was so long; it periodically tucked into my leggings waist band lol it was THAT long. I’m not joking that my hair is so thick that you can run thinning shears 50-100x and make like 2-3 wigs out of it. It’s just a lot and I know it; but what can I do? I had stylists I’ve met on first meet that either made me the butt of a joke in the salon or have made me feel humiliated just for having so much hair. Like I chose to have this much hair y’all…
I felt MORE stressed going to the salon for getting my hair done than going to an appointment for a Brazilian wax. JUST SAYIN’. It was that bad, UNTIL I met Tee.
The Experience:
I came by for a quote and was greeted by Tee. Tee definitely was shocked with how much hair I had, but it didn’t deter her in any way. She didn’t make comments or unnecessary gestures about my hair that I wasn’t used to. I wanted a haircut and color. I explained I’m pretty low maintenance leaning and showed some “inspo-pics” and she said she can make it happen for “X price” but forewarned it may increase in price due to needing more product once we start due to the amount of hair; which is fine and I’m prepared cause whatever she needs to get the job done, I’m down.
Getting scheduled was easy, very easy to find her and the other stylists work online. Communication is quick and efficient. She was able to book me the same weekend! Beginning of my service she started with my hair cut and she worked with my pleas to wanting to keep it as long as possible. She’s great at listening to what you want and compromising a fair medium with you and I’m extremely happy with the cut. She definitely noticed and picked up on my past-traumas of extra short choppy layers and being cut shorter than said; but she cut a true 3 ish inches off, kept long layers as promised and long face-framing pieces in the front and thin sheared the crap out of my head (but always checked with what I was comfortable with ofc) lol
For the color service. Y’all she’s a beast. lol I say that in the best way possible. I sat in her chair at 7:30AM and didn’t leave the shop until 3PM. Most of that time was spent her picking, combing, brushing, and foiling bleach onto my hair. Not once did she make me feel like she was rushing herself or made me feel like a burden. The first round of color I wasn’t happy with how it turned out, but she was able to fix it easily and I absolutely love the color the second time. She was incredibly meticulous and thorough the ENTIRE time. She takes pride in her work and it shows. She’s incredibly kind, listens and gives you realistic feedback on your wants. I truly appreciate the time and effort she puts in and so will you if you see her!
I plan to see her again within the year for touch ups (if she accepts me again ☠️lmaoo) she has a client for life for as long as she’s in the industry.

I was referred to Jasmine by a close friend who raved about her phenomenal balayage skills. I decided to book a same-day appointment for what I thought would be a quick toning session to fix my hair. However, Jasmine (and Lindy) went above and beyond, dedicating over 4 hours of meticulous work to transform my hair. I was amazed by the results—it looked exactly like the photos I had shown Jasmine.
Jasmine truly listened to my needs without any judgment, despite the challenging fix my hair required. She patiently walked me through the entire process, even though I had booked last minute. Lindy was also incredibly kind and provided the most relaxing head massage. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience.

I truly love this salon so so much. I've gone here for waxing for the last several months and Jasmine always takes such good care of me. She is very kind and easy to talk to, even for an introvert. Tonight I went to try to get my botched haircut fixed (from another place) and WOW. The time and attention that she spent on my hair was just phenomenal. All of the staff are so friendly and nice; each time I go I feel like a valued customer. I've been recommending my friends to go here for quite awhile and I figured it was time I leave a review. My daughter paid 400 to get her hair done and when she came home her hair looked exactly the same. not really sure what she did to my daughters hair but i dont think it was worth 400. over charge in my opinion

I love Sofylia Salon! When I moved to Seattle, finding a hairdresser was a top priority. Evalyn has been that and more. At this point, I walk in and say "I trust you" and she produces magic each time. I highly recommend!

Evalyn! The best scalp massage & hair cut I have had in YEARS. & I get my hair done about once a month in various places as I travel for work. I’ve been to her twice now, she’s super knowledgeable in her trade, has good vibes & I think she picks up on the vibes of her clients really well. I don’t mind a chit chat but I truly do just want to melt away in silence during my service because I am exhausted & my hair maintenance is a chore. I’ve watched her interact w/ another client & she was a bit more chatty which is what I think that client needed. The eye for vibes is immaculate. I can’t stop flipping my usually thick & unruly hair around because she’s cut it so well. My color is spot on as well. I usually do good vetting of salons as I travel & this gal hit the nail on the head, I’d travel out of town for her. BOOK HER.
