I rolled into Wallace Farms ready for the usual “hurry up and wait” adventure we drivers know too well. But nope — Amelia at receiving decided to shock my entire trucking worldview.
Not only does she seem to handle everything except actually loading trucks, she even called me back to let me know the load wouldn’t be ready until 4:30 and suggested I go grab a bite.
Who does that anymore? Someone who actually cares about drivers? Someone professional? Someone who doesn’t want us slowly turning into angry traffic cones in the dock door? Apparently, yes — Amelia does.
This level of courtesy in the logistics world is like finding a random love note in your pocket from a secret admirer — surprising, heart-melting, and instantly making your whole day better.
