When first obtaining a home loan, one of the big questions I ask if I've never worked with the lender before is whether they are servicing my loan or do they sell it. I was told Heritage would be servicing my loan. Within 2 weeks of closing I get notified that my loan has been sold. Not just sold, but sold to some cruddy national lender with a horrible reputation. Never again, Heritage.

When my partners and I acquired Eddyline Kayaks in 2017, we were fortunate enough to receive term sheets from several lenders for an acquisition loan and line of credit. Have been a customer of Whidbey Island Bank for many years and since Heritage bought out Whidbey Island bank they are rolling out more new fees every quarter. The result, they now charge fees on top of fees to the point that it is ridiculous! I will be closing my accounts this week.

Our company has a "business account" here and we have never had quality service. Turn around time for matters takes much too long, and today our employees almost did not get paid because of the way they have managed our account. Five people in our office had to work with Megan on the phone for over an hour and half to rectify this situation, and we were never apologized to. I have no idea why it is so hard for this bank to accomplish what literally every other bank can achieve. We are taking our business elsewhere and highly recommend others do the same - at least if you are a business. We respect our staff far too much and have better things to do with our time. In a trying situation, we tried to remain calm and professional, but if Megan is a reflection of the rest of their staff, they clearly have no training.

The team at Heritage Bank Burlington is by far the best example of Quality Service I've ever experienced at a Financial Institution , they go out of there way to address me by name and make me feel at home every time ...
