#1 the services SUCKS & the employees are a bit races/favoritism And & so makes you wait even you were there 1st & tells you to go to the other line, is because that person was white & you're not white & totally rudeness all the way around . Needs more effort on manners specially Hospitality. I give two stars, is because is nearby & specially certain arts supplies is easily to get from there. Definitely, the service needs more work and effort and needs to be retrained the employees!!!!!!

I am a longtime Michaels customer because with few exceptions they are the only one-stop craft store around. They are constantly increasing their online inventory but in-store inventory is always a big crapshoot. Be sure to check for coupons before you buy. They can be found online or in the newspaper and are good for saving money whether you're in the store or buying online. The store is usually clean and well maintained but read sale signs closely because they can be confusing or near the wrong merchandise. The staff can be very helpful at the register for applying coupon codes and interpreting them. If you know what you want and don't browse the aisles for eye candy (like this reviewer) you can get great value. As another reviewer pointed out, the return policy can be improved. I'll report back tomorrow with more details because I'm planning on returning a couple of items without receipts (gifts), and doing a little more damage to the budget.

$160.00 for having a 14"x16" print framed!! (single matted, basic metal frame) I asked my wife to frame 2 family trees for my birthday. She actually agreed to pay 160.00 for each framing. ($320 total) If I knew what the price was I would have just framed them myself. There is no way there is any justification for charging that price. Live and learn I guess. What a rip off!!

I'm unable to wear a mask and was just let go at my job for that reason. I don't go to stores because I'm scared of how people will treat me. The store manager, Yee, at the Burlington Michaels assured me I'm welcome to come in. Made me cry on the spot. Also Ximena was the one to cash me out and she was so kind. VERY thankful for your staff and how they treat people. I live in Bellingham and will from now on go out of my way to come to your store. Thank you!!

I am rather passionate about my yarn crafts. I was recently pleased to find a Michaels exclusive yarn (Caron Latte Cakes) that was just launched 8 weeks prior to now. I made a project and fell in love with this yarn. I jumped online to "buy online pick up in store". Inventory reflected 4 units available, I took them. Bought last night and wanted to pick up on my lunch hour. No emails so I called. Waited on hold for over 20 minutes. Xmas season - they must be busy....finally the rep answers the phone to tell me that they cancelled the order because they do not have it in stock. It was Clearanced she says. Why would a brand new product - exclusive to Michaels be clearanced? They just keep getting it wrong.

Went to buy the Artist's Loft watercolor paint set. Found where it belonged-on an endcap. There should have been 5 different types of Artist's Loft paint. Instead, there was one kind, spread out across the 5 different hooks. Inquired before leaving the store, the cashier said "we just had our biggest sale of the year. Check back in a week." Huh? I was able to order this on-line and my order says it's in stock at the store, if I had ordered by 5 pm I could have picked it up at the store. Thanks for nothing, Michaels.

I hate to give only two stars because the selection is great! The problem is the advertising, sale prices, and signage. You have to be very carful when counting on the posted sale prices. My experience has been that a sale price is sometimes posted in the wrong area or there are exceptions that apply to the product closest to the posted sale price. This is something that I have experienced more than once at the Burlington location. An example: One brand of tape is on sale but the posted discount is in the tape section by the most popular brand and the sign only says the other brand in small print. The amount of times this happens makes me think it is part of a calculated marketing plan. I do prefer to shop here for my art and craft supplies but the hassle of carefully reading and deciphering the sale postings in the store make the shopping experience less that desirable.

I came to Michael's to have custom framing done for my two college diplomas. They were a very unusual size, so custom framing was necessary on a budget! I got the pleasure of working with Kat ( I believe) and she was amazing! Made such great recommendations and advice for all of the many options that come with custom framing. We picked out a beautiful frame and matte, then it turned out it was waaaaay more than I wanted to pay. So she made a new frame and matte layout that I loved even more that came out to be much better price. I am very thankful for her help and patience, great customer service from start to frame pickup. Thank you! :)

Since I am on a small island that does not have a great selection of costume jewelry at decent prices, I decided to start making my own. I googled a few craft stores and Michaels was one of the options. I happily made my way to Burlington, WA hoping that they would have the necessary items. OMG!! This store has everything you will need to do any crafting project. If you look carefully you will find some items on sale, but try not to break the bank shopping here...

Yay for craft stores... so much at which to look at and drool over. Lucky for me I received two of the same gorgeous spring-form pans for Christmas and I was able to return/exchange one of them for store credit. The bad news is their return policy: if you don't have a receipt (as I did not, as it was a Christmas Present), you can only receive store credit to the tune of whatever was the item's last sale price. I was slightly bummed because there were several baking-related items I've been needing, but didn't have the disposable cash with which to buy. However, the cashier was really nice and also gave me a 40% coupon to use whenever I decided to use my gift card. And when I came back to spend said card, the cashiers were super friendly and each sales person with whom I've had contact, are also pleasant and helpful. Overall I like Michael's a lot. But their return/exchange policy sucks like bad macaroni art.

I have been in about 5 or 6 times and every time I leave satisfied. The customer service is great, but maybe that's because I've been helped by the same young woman, I believe her name was Emma. She was very helpful with what I was trying to find every time. When I go back for my craft shopping needs I will be looking for her if I need help.
