The only downside is; there is not enough seating for how busy and popular they are.

Clean, well kept inside and outside, ample parking, decent side arcade. I like that there is no price difference between the skates for user preference. I also like that there are skate aide devices (pvc walkers) to help non proficient skaters learn.

Kids have been coming here for the past several Saturdays for lessons and have been having a blast. Wife and I join in afterwards. Low skating and rental fees, facilities are great with the arcade and ticket pricing and the pizza is alright. Staff and instructors are amazing and great with everyone. Love coming here.

I have been to several different skate decks in the area, including Marysville and Everett, but until I found Skagit Skate in Burlington I was chronically under-impressed. I had good memories of going to the skate decks in Snohomish county as a kid, and having been out of the roller skating game for about ten years, walked back in their doors expecting something similar. What I got was a distinct impression that they were either teetering on the edge of foreclosure or just really didn't care. I left each place more depressed and more convinced that real skate decks were a thing of the past.
That is, until I found Skagit Skate. Walking in I expected same old thing, and was immediately pleasantly surprised by a very fair price- $9.50 per skate session (5 hour block of time) if you bring your own skates, $11.50 per skate session if you need to rent. That price is good for any type of skates- between the classic four wheeled beginner skates, an upgraded four wheel skate, and roller blades.
Walking in you can immediately tell that this is a business that someone cares about. Things are cleaner, well maintained, and up to date. They have enough staff to deftly handle their customers needs and the staff enjoys skating so much themselves that almost all of them are working in skates the whole time 😂 The owner must be a fun person.
They do parties for holidays, fog machines at the weekend skate sessions, and have blacklights and disco balls all the time. There are about 6 menu choices to cater to the picky eater or single as well as the option for a reasonably-priced whole pizza to feed the family. Ice cream and slushies too!
Most of the skate session is free skate, but they also do games and races. They stagger things so that there's about 20 minutes of skate time in between each game so the people who don't play aren't waiting forever. They also have those little walker things (skate trainers I think they're called) for $5 but you get a $2 or $3 refund upon returning them.
Anyway my whole family loves it here. Even my son who has grown too cool for most family stuff now that he is nearing teenagerhood enjoys his time here.
Lastly I'll mention that the only thing I'm not thrilled about is that they have an arcade, for the sole reason that my kids always want to play at the arcade there which is about as expensive as you'd expect. Which causes me to have to budget twice as much.
Depending on who you are though, this could still be a plus, and admittedly it keeps them busy during fast skate or games.

Brought my 2 year old daughter in. Went around with her on my hip one time to get her to calm down and to show her skating was fun. Never was I told there were “rules”. Was approached immediately by an employee who was referred to as a “kid” by management who told me “we won’t be carrying people” on the skate floor. This wasn’t any person this was a 2 year old who was scared of skating due to never had been prior to this day. I continued to use the skate mate and help our 2 year old learn how to skate while also picking her up off the ground to get back on to the skate mate. My friend had picked her up but was not skating was just trying to calm our 2 year old down. We were approached again by im assuming management who said there won’t be any skating with a 2 year old being picked up. He was also not understanding of how a 2 year old doesn’t understand how to skate yet and needs to be picked up every once in awhile. He assured me plenty of 2 year olds that go in there skate without their mom and dad and know how to skate. If this is an issue change the age limit or how about this have everyone that comes in to your facility sign a liability form. We were treated like absolute awful people. It’s not against the law to pick up your own child! Especially if they are crying in skates or not. You need a new policy. Absolutely ridiculous. Btw my child has a disability I hope your company feels amazing!
