This place has so much potential. It's a great track layout for beginners, and has enough interesting shots to keep experienced golfers coming back (I love the finishing three holes.) The negative reviews on quality aren't wrong, and solid approach shots land as if you've just thrown a dart at a beach, however this is a place that you can get on easily, have the track mostly to yourself, and only pay $35 a person to walk. To me, that is worth a rough green and shaggy fairways alllll day. I'll keep coming back, and possibly teach my son the game here so long as it stays open, and the greens fees match the quality of the product.
EDIT: The course is currently closed until mid-March 2025. Fingers crossed this is due to renovation/new ownership! This beautiful piece of dirt deserves to shine!

Price was great, but the course was really rough. It was fine enough for how much we paid and our skill (not great think 90s). The golf carts were nice and the service was very friendly. Lost a ton of golf balls, but also found a lot as well. Overall I would probably go back hoping the place was fixed up a little more maybe in mid summer.

Loved the layout of the course, 6 of the greens were very rough ,almost unplayable. One was not even a green just a flag in fairway

This course used to be solid. Sadly, I played on 8/31 and the course could not have been in worse shape. Excluding the fairway and rough conditions (which were bad to say the least), I've never seen putting greens this bad... Majority of each green was dead and just dirt. Several greens hadn't been watered in months and had large cracks throughout the surface like something you see in the middle of a desert. Needless to say, I've played my last round at Blue Heron...

Played yesterday with my daughter. Greens were basically unplayable absent grass and totally hard brown dirt. Fairways were not cut and drives resulted in lost balls even when driven down the center of the fairway. I hate rating the course this way as the folks are friendly. Course has a ton of potential but severely neglected. Not sure what the issue is but it is a sad state of affairs IMO. Beautiful surroundings exist alongside of severe neglect.. sad.

Great location for this course but the greens are just fried out! could be a great course if taken care of properly

Only giving 3 stars because the greens are in bad shapes. Everything else are great, would consider playing more here if the green condition is improved.

Do not come here, I repeat! The course is poorly managed, there’s no real green on 5+ holes.

Course is in crap condition with at least half a dozen greens out of commission and most others brown and burnt out. Don’t expect to improve or work on your putting here.
I did like the setting and that it felt like I was playing in a park. It is cheap here too, $40 for 18 on a weekend. Also the hot dogs were on point because they actually grill them and the buns-not steamed.
Could be a great course if it was cared for…but still had a fun time.

This facility should be embarrassed to call themselves a golf course or to charge $ for anyone to play it. If you want to experience what it would be like to putt on the moon this is your place!

First of all, the course conditions are the worst I’ve ever seen at any golf course I’ve played. All of the greens are unplayable, and they put the flagstick in front of them instead of being able to play the actual greens. You’ll be putting of off rough grass instead of a real green. Second, we were charged $21 a person for a golf cart for 18 holes, but were then told we had to walk the back nine because they close the cart doors at 7. Lastly, I was charged $10 extra on my drink and food bill then what my receipt said. I did not give a tip and they clearly tipped themselves anyway. Never ever play here

Heads up if you’re planning on playing in August 2024. Played a round there today and the course is in horrible condition. 6 of the greens are temporary and almost all of the rest of the greens are in really bad shape. No mention of any of this on the website and they are still charging full price. Some sort of notice that the greens were essentially unplayable would’ve been nice. The photo is the green on hole 2 and the majority of the greens look just like this.

Chop salad came overdressed without half the ingredients listed.
Bacon on Cobb salad barely cooked. Disappointing lunch.
