“Thinking back on the past year, it’s been a big one. I turned 70 and was blessed with the birth of my first grandchild ? . I had just moved to Wenatchee and joining Actualize was a great help in adapting to being in a new community. I have always been an active person (hiking, biking, skiing, yoga) but never consistently done strength training. From everything I had read, I knew it was especially important to add that to the mix for healthy aging. At first it was a little intimidating to work with barbells etc, but I quickly gained confidence. I feel really solid with my deadlift and squat form, and knowing how to push myself without risk of injury. I loved the diversity of exercises (never bored!) and the progression from one phase to the next. All of the instructors are fabulous, enthusiastic and attentive. I know I’m stronger and I can feel the difference in yoga and mountain biking and hiking especially. Thanks Actualize!”
