I hadn't hunted for the last 24 years, and since I'm nearing retirement, I wanted a once in a lifetime rifle and scope. I wanted a bolt action rifle that I would be able to hunt many species of animals with. Making sure that I knew what I was looking for, Scott shared the differences of many rifles and scopes, helping me to understand how each would or would not fulfill my dream rifle. The ultimate decision was mine without any pressure from Scott or the rest of his staff. Never have I been in a firearms store that gives the customer so much undivided attention like On Target Outdoors owner and staff gave to me. After this experience, I'm already thinking about my second in a lifetime rifle purchase that I will make from Scott and his staff. Kudos, and thank you so much for the shared knowledge!

Why would any shop send their customer out the door with a Frankenstein looking setup like this? when I specified I didn’t want to use a solid rail because I want the action/bolt area to remain unobstructed somehow the team thought this would be acceptable?UPDATE: After being told the original setup was the only way it would work and altering the bases was not possible. I returned to the shop with my own tools and showed Scott exactly what needed to be done to accomplish the mounting setup you see in the second photo. Which he charged me additional money for! Most service oriented businesses when they send you out the door with very poor service would want to correct it or make right, without charge for the extra 15 minutes of work!

Ignore the illegitimate, hyper-sensitive, overly-emotiotional and negative-charged comments about this business. As with the case with nearly all reviews these days, 99.9% of them are either falsified in some fashion, or from cowards unable to communicate and get what they want.Scott and his staff are always welcoming as soon as you walk in the door. They are knowledgeable, grateful for the opportunity to serve their clients, and gracious when asked any level of questions.

We popped in randomly on our way passing through Castle Rock- not only were the staff the most helpful and kind people we've met on our trip but they also have a great selection of vintage guns. - Guys, our trailer is pulling true! Thanks again for the help!

First time in this place and they weren't very friendly. Maybe if you are a local from the small town and they know you it'd be different. The store and employees were alike both empty, hardly any inventory and the shelves were bare and nothing upstairs in storage either.... If you know what I mean. Two stars one because the front of the store has good eye appeal and one more because they had some nice riffles inside. I think museum quality riffles because the prices are so high. Would not recommend this place except if you needed to use a public restroom.

I recently called checking on what it would take to get my husband's new rifle sighted in. The man I talked to was very rude and condescending. Told me that he wouldn't have time to get it done and that if it weren't hunting season they MIGHT be able to do it pretty much said i was out of luck. He acted like I was inconveniencing him..u would think after spending a 1000.00 on a scope they would want return business

Awesome staff! Very knowledgeable and patient with helping me with selecting a rifle that works for me. They had know problem running me through all the pros and cons of the different models that caught my eye and made sure that I was looking at ones that fit me. Ultimately very pleased with my purchase and will be back! :)
