Postmaster is very nice. Helped me out with a near impossible address issue. Love this city!

We had to get a locked box because mail was bring stolen from our neighbors mail box. I was told that there was "no problem" delivery packages that don't fit to the house. Everything has been great but recently, packages are being shoved in that small slot ruining my item. I called to make them aware of the issue, and the manager told me that if they can get in that slot (no matter what it takes) that is allowed. They have even brought it to the house and put it by the door, even though we have a huge box with all delivery methods noted on the front! The latest episode, was prescription bottle shoved in that slot and broken bottle and medicine everywhere in the envelope. UPS, FedEx and all other delivery services are much better to deal with. Wish they delivered mail!!!!

You can’t talk to a real person if you call. Sat on the phone trying to fix something and none of the options I needed just kept cycling though the same options. Absolutely stupid

A year ago we went a 100$ gift card to a friend who was struggling because of covid. The card went missing and a year later they still refuse to do anything about it even with a receipt provided.

I had a very important package supposed to be delivered, but the delivery lady refused to drop it off because she saw my 14 year old blind and deaf springer spanial. Pathetic

Used to get my packages delivered right to my door. Now they just give me a pink slip and leave my packages at the post office. Because they "don't have access to my building" yet they have no problem getting to my mail box which is INSIDE my building. Super annoying.

The two men there are so sweet and funny. I wouldn't dream of dropping off my packages anywhere else. ?

Mail delivery is pretty good. If you deliver a package though, ring the door bell or knock - don't just leave a note, "we missed you" when I was home, 30 feet from the door all day. Have it on our security camera that the mail carrier already had the slip filled out with, "missed you" walked up to the porch and just threw the slip in the mail basket and walked away. Also, use the sidewalk please! I have a game trail through my front lawn due to the mail carrier.Updated from two to three stars:Post master was very understanding and helpful, ensuring a special consideration for me to get the package and to address the employee.

The United States Postal Service is often under rated and taken for granted. Every agency/company has their issues. Despite this they are always friendly and have always given quick service. Alan from the Chehalis WA post office is AWESOME and goes above and beyond. I had a few issues with my mail and a package not arriving. Alan personally called and resolved those issues. Not only is that better customer service than I have ever received from fedex or UPS, but regardless of whatever delays come up USPS is still more efficient.

A few weeks ago our postal carrier refused to deliver a package because it was sprinkling rain and took it back to the office. He won’t come to our porch because our front door has a doggy door installed from the house owners dogs lived here. After a great conversation with the postal manager we set out a big, lidded container for packages and blocked the unused dog door. Today, it poured rain. The postal carrier still won’t come to the porch so left this package in the rain at about 11am. We found it this evening at 5pm when we got home from work.

Delivery driver admitted to delivering a package to the wrong address. He was even sent out to retrieve it. Unfortunately he was not able to remember where he delivered it to. I was told to file a claim so I did. First they denied my claim saying that it was delivered to the correct address. I was able to provide proof that they delivered to the wrong address via their geo-tracking. Re-filed again and this time they changed it to I didn't provide sufficient proof that the items were valued at the insurance value. Sent all documentation and sales receipts proving value above insurance cost. Re-filed another claim for them to deny it again due to lack of evidence of value. They were provided bank information, PayPal information, items description and cost and proof of sale and purchase. Horrible!

I don't mind mail coming late....I understand they are short handed. But can they hire people who can recognize numbers and put the mail in the right box? Is that asking too much? Three times! Wrong number, wrong mail box. Both mail and box are clearly marked! 38 is not the same number as 83! And it certainly isn't 62!!! Good grief....

I wish I could give them no stars. The management was so rude to me and basically disregarded me as a person. I saw them treat the staff very poorly, even though the staff themselves were professional and nice. The management were such awful people that they overshadowed the nice workers there. Awful service. I will be going to Centralia instead.

I just watched as (once again) my mailman drove right past my place with a package that I know his on his truck because I'm tracking it. I would call the post office and have them attempt to contact my carrier, but they're closed now. I imagine the conversation would be the same as it was last time where the clerk on the other end of the line assured me that for whatever reason the package wasn't delivered, it was my fault...my carrier would never do that.is it normal to consider moving to a new carrier's route?
