I have bad luck with this license agency. Every time I've been there in the last 6 months they've been closed. They open at 10 AM but closed 2 hours later for a 1 hour lunch. Then they close at 4. So I advise scheduling your trip carefully to make sure you get there when they are. Open

Don't trust the website. Way old info. Not even on Woodin Ave any longer and they may be closed, even though website says they are open. Best to call.

My father gifted a boat trailer to me and I went in to transfer title to my name. Kim said it was gifted once before and had to charge tax on its retail value of $120. I agreed. Kim then tried to charge me $108.83 in title fees. I argued and refused, asking for a printout of all the fees. She tried to charge me for more than required, so I went to another title office. The other office gave the same retail value but only charged $45.58. See the attached picture.
Chelan DOL office is a total ripoff, trumping extra charges so they make more money because they're the only place in town. I refused to pay the $63 in extra fees. I recommend that you refuse to accept their services and go to another office, if you are able. I'm sharing this information on other social media platforms. Kim and this office should be sanctioned.

I wanted to bring this matter to residents of lake chelan!So that appropriate measures may be taken to ensure that all residents and customers of Lake Chelan receive a respectful and pleasant experience at Chelan Auto Licensing. Recently, I had an unpleasant experience at Chelan Auto Licensing with a staff member named Kim Thorpe. I found her behavior to be rude and unwelcoming. Rather than providing the service I required, Ms. Thorpe was bothered by my needs and disrespectful Given that Lake Chelan is a close-knit community, I believe it is important for businesses like Chelan Auto Licensing to prioritize offering basic customer service to residents.

Is this even a business? There is literally too much negative comments to write here. Stay away. The front office lady is very rude. Please avoid this place and renew elsewhere if you can. I would have given it a zero star if I was able too.

Rarely leave a bad review, but I have been having Chelan Auto License renew by mail my 10+ vehicles/trailers/boats/etc for several years now. Trying to support the small remote businesses.
3 years in a row, they have failed to include my Snow Park pass (which is free). The last couple of years I DROVE TO CHELAN to pick it up. This kind of defeats the update by mail option.
This year I am in Snoqualmie and I can't get to Chelan anytime soon. I asked if they could mail and said NO ! .. go to a local office (for me is North Bend) and show your registration and they should be able to provide one. It would take them less than 5 minutes to put one in the mail, BUT I will spend an hour + making up for their mistake again. 3 strikes - your out!
THIS IS LITERALLY THE POOREST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ATTITUDE I HAVE EXPERIENCED IN A WHILE. IN A TIME WHEN SMALL BUSINESS NEEDSA AS MUCH SUPPORT AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE OF COVID ... I WILL BE SELECTING A DIFFERENT BUSINESS TO RENEW MY VEHICLES.
