So the chelan post office has been closed for a week so far because it is having a new roof put on. Great!. This 24/7 open post office has locked entrance for this week and left signs on the entrance to pick up mail and packages in the back parking lot. OK. The problem they apparently never considered is that they never even thought to take any of the mail out of the PO Boxes the day they locked the entrance doors and hand that mail out in the back lot. They left everyone's yellow package cards inside for a week so far and failed to even realise this. They are nice people , but common sense is rare these days.

I went to get an address forwarding & the olive skinned woman with shorter black hair helped me. After filling out the form I went back in line & again same woman helped me but this time she spoke to me in Spanish. I let her know I speak English. And she replied with a palpable undercurrent of agitation that she didn’t mean to offend me, which I thought was weird because we had spoken in English a couple minutes ago. She seemed agitated and when she asked me to fill out the bottom portion of the old forwarding address which I hadn’t done. She asked me if I could read, then clarified if I could read English. I felt this was actually rude. And since there was another customer I moved out of the way so she could attend her because I figured what was bothering her was that I was in the way. Afterwards I told her I was just stating my preference and not trying to offend her, I was trying to make peace with her and she nodded absently and said nothing. I left tearing up because it was clear she did not care at all. I’ve had a PO Box for about a yr now and the only lady who cares about the customers is the blonde in her mid 40s with glasses.

I have had a POBox number for 50 years and the same physical address for 40+, no Amazon will not accept POBox as an address and local post office will not deliver package, even though they have been doing ir for years. Poor service, period.

Package was inadvertently delivered to the wrong house. Those working the desk at the post office were very helpful in sorting thru the issue. Package was picked up and delivered to the house before I got back home.

Do not expect your mail to arrive or be delivered anytime soon after it has been sent. I got several pieces of mail from April delivered in September, have not received mail at all,missing very important personal information,missing cards and packages even get notices I have packages I am possibly expecting but told they can't find them and must have gotten notices by mistake all through the past couple of Christmases, never receive samples, have other people using my box number.The box is only for me,etc,etc. This has been reported . I was even in there one day and a familiar voice was next to me telling them how he has not been getting mail in his box for many days. He said he usually gets mail daily. The voice was very familiar. Ha! It was very familiar they worked there at Chelan post office for decades! These people seem to have their own rules about when you need to pick up mail twice a week especially when you can rarely park anywhere to go in. How packages should be shipped to the postal office address and hash tag your box number( why am I paying nearly 200.00 per year for my box there .Basically to them then when addressed items are their way then you don't receive stuff or they say they sent it back. Funny thing not once thing has ever made it back. I could go on ! This is the most unscrupulous post office I have ever delt with. Nothing but nonsense here since Tony left. People need to complain this service is not right. Very shady imo OH and I just have to add how rude,unprofessional, unintelligent,mean,grumpy,stamps slammed down at you,change smacked toward you,receipts shoved at you. Amanda if she's still there is the only one who has been helpful,or courteous.

I've lived in Chelan for 2 years now and love the people. But l must say this post office is occupied by rude employees. I'll be driving to The Wenatchee post office from now on.

I live out of state part of the year, So I'm continually switching address delivery. The staff at The Chelan USPS is continually getting the mail change orders wrong. The last three times they just ignored the request -- they couldn't be that dumb so I conclude they are obstinate instead. Add rude, thoughtless and unfriendly, too.

They deserve more respect. Anyone with anything negative to say must want to put an application in let me see what they got because they been there no days off through a pandemic and when companies lose assets to the buisness give the new krew a break. Anyways the new workers don’t complain or miss days so stop expecting them to cater to your mistakes. It’s a buisness not a daycare

The Chelan Post office used to be awesome. They are terrible now. They lose my packages every other time. If a package is sent for a member of my family but doesn't have my name on it they automatically return it to sender.Tony retired, I guess one guy held the whole thing together before now.

As a doctor new to Chelan I am shocked at how poor the customer service is at this location. The young dark haired female was extremely rude to other customers and myself. I agree with all the other reviewers, it only takes a few seconds to be kind. It is honestly sad to see how poorly that staff member treat customers who are just going about their daily routines. I can say that the majority of people in this community are friendly and kind. I only hope that this post office will change to reflect the community. They deserve better than what I witnessed.
