Refilled my prescription and waited 1 hour and half in the store. Had to leave without my prescription because it took way too long. Techs don’t prioritize people waiting. Understaffed. Will be changing pharmacies.

Great place to shop, and I love being able to use my rewards points to take a bit of the edge off the cost of gas down the road at Chevron. My only complaint is the total lack of stock lately in much of the fresh produce department. Not sure what's going on there.

I came in very early a few days ago, and as I walked by the deli, which I could tell wasn’t yet open since the lights were off, I noticed there were HUGE piles of stinking trash in the middle of the deli kitchen covered in flies. It looked like it had been there all night. I could see that much of the trash was thinly bagged food trash. I inquired about this to a nearby worker and they informed me that the management requires the afternoon shift to leave the trash in the deli until it can be “approved” for throwing out in the morning. I have no practical idea of why they would do things this way but it is absolutely disgusting. I bought food from this deli almost weekly, which I now regret. Never again.

The steaks at Safeway are outrageously price garbage
But the jumbo shrimp and wild catch coho salmon is top notch
I don’t buy steak in any grocery store lease days because it’s like buying a promise from a snake oil salesman
My last shrimp purchase at Safeway the rookie meat cutter dropped all the shrimp on the floor and shrink wrapped the foam sleeve loosely like never done 3 year old
All while a corporate mucky muck was surrounded by brown nosing kiss ups getting in the way of progress as he told lame jokes

I attempted to go in and order two breakfast burritos since none were readily made, it took a few minutes to be greeted by someone in the deli, they told me it would be 10 minutes until the Jojos are ready for the breakfast burritos, which was fine. I come back to the deli in 10 minutes, they say they don’t have chipotle sauce, they don’t have egg whites and that would be another 10 minutes to find onion and pepper jack cheese. After waiting 10 minutes for the jojos to be done I then proceeded to wait a total of 20 minutes for the person behind the counter to make two breakfast burritos. They also did not have any of the foil to wrap the burrito in and by the time I got my burritos, they were both cold because the lady took so long. Worst experience I’ve ever had here. If you don’t want to make breakfast sandwiches or breakfast burritos then take them off the menu.

Always clean and plenty of selection. But their strategy of locating in high income areas and raising their prices on the whole is terrible for the average consumer.
Even using their app just doesn't touch their overpriced inventory.

This safeway store IS NOT service animal friendly. I was kicked out because of my service dog so i will never go into this safeway store again. Update: Nothing has changed the store staff are rude as ever.
