terrible place to work, i worked there for 8 months or so, i was discriminated against for my religion, once they found out what religion i was, my working hours went from their full time to 3 hours a week. my coworkers were very sweet and all agreed that i was not being treated fairly. our boss jana also was keeping our tips we made for some time while the salt bistro was opening. but as a shop, 10/10 such a cute store but i would never recommend working there

If you are in Chewelah... DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE!!! Such a diamond in this little town. Each shop is so much fun and so unique. Picked up some super cute clothes in the ladies boutique, found amazing decor AND stopped and had some of the MOST delicious ice cream ever! But the best part of this place is all of the friendly faces, sweet smiles and fun stories you'll get from each member of the staff that work here. ❤️ They are amazing. Thank you Janna for this perfect little spot of heaven. MUCH LOVE! The West's ❤️

Visited this place passing through & definitely worth the stop if your passing through. My girlfriend and I were looking for somewhere to eat and we're definitely not disappointed. Food and service were outstanding. Walking in is different as they have a couple small retail stores I'd also recommend swinging by.

Stumbled upon this yesterday evening and even though the shops had closed, the Salt Bistro was still open (even though it was close to 7PM). They still welcomed us in and boy were we glad. We ordered a hummus plate, beef filet medallions, and the scallops between my wife and I. We also had a glass of wine and a bottle of hard cider for drinks. It was the most enjoyable meal we've had in a long time with the food being outstanding and the outdoor patio being the perfect place for it. Would very highly recommend.

Nice store. Lots of nice gifts and items you can’t normally find in a small town. Warning: it is extremely over-priced. Many of the things in the store we’ve found in Spokane or online for much cheaper. So you won’t find any bargains. But the quality is good. It’s a charming old building and nice atmosphere. The sales people are a little aggressive. I’m not sure if it’s because they’re just trying to increase sales or if it’s just out of boredom. But they’ll follow you around the store and try to get you to buy stuff. They don’t let you shop in peace. Just be firm and tell them “no thank you.” The bistro has good food. Once again, it’s spendy. And portions are pretty small. But the food is good and definitely unique for a small town. They feature art from local artists, which I appreciate. Overall, it’s a nice store with nice things. But expect to pay a lot. And hours of operation are very limited. For some reason, their hours seem to change a lot, very inconsistent. But it’s a charming store and a nice addition to the community.

Cute cozy great shopping and amazing food. Staff and owner so welcoming. Local finds in the food market and one of a kind pieces in the boutiques. Food so good went twice…good job chef!

Shopping and then a wonderful early dinner . Salt Bistro opens @ 3 pm, menu varies daily in the small plate European tradition. Outdoor seating available with misters during warm weather. We started with the whipped Feta drizzled with a seasoned oil, candied pecans, and PistachiosWe had the seared Halibut, grilled Prawns, both with a beautiful Otzo salad. All was beautifully presented and very tasty. We left full. The divided space shops are lovely, clothing for women , a man's shop with an eclectic choice of items, a decor shop, and my favorite the specialty food shop.

Great service from servers, and the food was absolutely amazing! Had the tostada dish, best Mexican dish I’ve had! Try the halibut dish was also out of this world! Super cute boutiques.

Amazing! My husband and I stopped in here on a long drive after seeing a sign in town - we were provided with such a warm greeting and helpful guidance as we shopped their thoughtfully curated items. It was such a beautiful spot, we only wish we had more time! We’ll be back!

One of my favorite places to go for high quality food decor and clothes. I especially love the local Washington soups they carry in their salt market. All of them have been so tasty and really easy to make ? Also it looks like they'll be opening a little cafe in there soon so that's exciting!
