I recently visited Owens Meats after a recommendatiom from a colleague due to their price and quality of meats. I paid $24.99 per pound for 1.35 pounds of prime rib stake expecting a premium cut based on the recommendations.
Unfortunately, the steak was disappointing. While I anticipated rich marbling and a tender texture, what I found instead was an excessive amount of fat and far less marbling than expected. For the price, I was hoping for a better balance of flavor and tenderness.
Overall, my experience left me unimpressed. I had high hopes based on the recommendations, but I don’t think I’ll be returning for their prime rib in the future

Small meat market but big variety. Got some spices, pork, and half a pound of “The Good Stuff “. Easy off/on the interstate. Will definitely stop again!!

I came in, took a number, bought $40 of steak, and noticed a jar of sauce on my way out. Waited for the same guy to finish with his next customer and asked politely if I could buy it. Big mistake. Got shamed loudly in front of everyone I need a number, that I can’t just waltz in front of all these people, etc. It’s ok buddy I’ll go elsewhere

Excellent meat shop and a new favorite! Taylor provided an exceptional experience and was working hard to provide top quality products and services to a constant flow of customers. I love the service oriented culture and I can see why this place is “world famous”. Try the “good stuff” mix of meat and cheese. If you are driving through or staying in the Cle Elum area, you need to experience for yourself!

Visiting a long-time military friend in Arlington we drove over two hours one-way to this shop because it is his gold standard for fresh meat. Our travel time was delayed, so I called the shop and this wonderful woman helped me process a large order I bought as a birthday gift to my friend over losing connection in the mountains multiple times. We showed up a little past closing but she was there to give me the order. I'm sorry I do not remember your name miss, but thank you for going above and beyond for us making the whole trip worthwhile for a couple of war veterans!

Years ago I was on my way to Yakima to get peaches. I had my son with me who was 15 at the time. Told him I was going to stop and get some jerky at Owen’s meats. He said l don’t like jerky so don’t get me any. He politely waited in the car. When I brought it out to the car he said boy that really smells good. I asked him to try some. He said ok but just a little piece. It was still warm in the bag. He ended up eating almost the whole bag. He said okay I don’t like jerky but I do like this jerky.

Absolutely wonderful place to stop for Jerky, pepperoni ropes, assortments of cut meats, susages & delicious bacon. Customer service is just Awesome ! Best Jerky in the world. Love Owen's meats !
