So many thanks to the wonderful and dedicated pharmacists at the Cle Elum Safeway Pharmacy!! We are here visiting, and they spent extra time to help us get a prescription filled when the doctor was virtually unreachable due to the power outage issues. In addition they called us twice to update us. We could not be more grateful for these incredibly caring and hard working professionals.

I’m sorry Safeway pharmacy is a joke, you follow the rules give them a day in advance to get your refill go stand in line forever and they tell you it’s not been filled yet . We have lives too waiting another 2 hrs is ridiculous . I was there to pick up on Monday night after calling Monday morning not done go back tues night still not done no reason for it to not be complete . We need more options . Elderly have problems getting out then stand forever only to be told oh sorry not filled yet . Do better Safeway.

Update: Lowered to 2 stars. Fourth chance. Waiting 4 hours before going in, did NOT do the trick. Meds were NOT ready. Granted they let me wait instead of telling me to come back an hour or so later. We feel they wait for people to show up before even working on a prescription... Three times in the last 60 days or so they did NOT have our meds ready after 1.5 hours or more. Or we had to go to another pharmacy in Ellensburg to get our meds. Hopefully today my husband's meds will be ready after almost 4 hours. I will update this review later if needed.

These guys bought out the cle elum pharmacy, but they don't take lifewise insurance so now we have to drive to ellensburg. Why buy the pharmacy if you don't plan to service their customers?

I have been using Safeway pharmacy for years. I have rarely had an issue. In the last 6 mths the overall service and friendliness of the staff has gone above and beyond my expectations. Brad the pharmacist has been giving my mother who has Alzheimer’s her monthly injections. He is amazing with my mom. Thank you so much.

The pharmacist here was so helpful. We were looking for an OTC medicine. Being on vacation from out of state, he helped us get what we needed.

These folks are doing the best with what they have...we live in a small town that is growing very fast. There are also laws, as dispensing medicine has become a high crime target. To the woman who accused them of "just staring at the computer screen".. Do you have any idea of what that screen looked like or what they were doing. . No, but go ahead and judge. These pharmacy staff have nothing to do with laws, drug abuse, etc. They are doing their job. I moved over here from Seattle. There are the same problems there. I'm also in medicine and get that most people have no idea how hard these people work, especially in the negative and hateful attitudes I'm reading in the comments. Take a day and shadow and experience what they really do. Everyone is understaffed everywhere, even in Seattle. Their hands are bound by circumstances they can't control, like availability of medications, what medication they can stock and how much. They are very tightly regulated. If you don't like it here, leave. I absolutely sure if they could change it, they would.Thank you Safeway staff for being there and having to tolerate these negative, judgemental people.

This is the worst pharmacy in Cle Elum. The staff is incompetent and rude. Use at your own risk!Negative interaction 1:I transferred my prescription from another city (Goddess forbids someone to be born outside Cle Elum). The pharmacist started dumping my entire prescription history into a paper bag. I asked him what he was doing, and he started throwing his attitude. I told him what I needed, and he grimaced and painfully did his job typing into his screen and dumping pills (schadenfreude). This man is a diva who must leave that attitude at home and the drag show.Negative interaction 2:I went in to pick up my prescriptions, and my entire order was not there. The older tech scolded me for not knowing the Washington law she has to abide by. The pharmacist agreed the laws here were terrible, and they were forced to do their jobs once again (schadenfreude). So sorry this state is full of junkies the pharmacists had a direct hand in causing. Poor…poor… overworked big pharma! [Insert violin here]Negative interaction 3:I go in to pick up my prescriptions. My entire order is not there. I need a nose spray to breathe. I asked the pharmacist where my nose spray was. He says, “Oh, that one is hard to get, " and dismisses my needs. I have lived in multiple US cities, and no one has ever had a problem getting that spray. The older tech proceeded to advise me that I could purchase the spray over the counter. The over-the-counter price is higher than the prescribed price. I told the pharmacist to do his job and order it, and he said, “Ok,” and stared at me, expecting me to give him the benefit of the doubt that he was a professional. I stared back. I didn’t trust him to place the order because he was passive-aggressive. I stared at him until he finally grimaced and punched into his computer(schadenfreude). He said, “It is ordered and should be here in 24 hours”. I called back three days later and was told that the nose spray was not there and that “It was ordered to the wrong location”. The pharmacist either purposefully ordered it to the wrong location (unprofessional), or he is incompetent, and it is proven fact he is rude.Negative interaction 4:I pick up my prescriptions, and the older tech hands me the bag. I say, “Thank you.” She stares at me. She is weird, and I walk away.Negative interaction 5:I am picking up my prescriptions, and the older tech hands me the bag. I take it and walk away. I hear, “You're Welcome” as I walk away. I walked back, and she stared at me. I asked her, “If she has something she needs to say to me?” She stares at me. I tell her, “Lady the last time I was here and took the bag from you you just stated at me.” She dared to mumble that she thought I was rude. I burned that bridge so fast this entire forest was at risk, and I told her and the pharmacist where to go.The pharmacist clung to his last bit of power and said, “We won’t fill your prescriptions here anymore,” as if that was a bad thing. They stare at their screen and ignore the line of 15 people daily. The PNW elitist attitudes are standard with this staff. The anti-outsider sentiment is strong in Cle Elum, and the older clerk and old male pharmacist have snobbish Seattle attitudes! Sorry, this town is no Seattle except for the prices. They dislike outsiders here and will tell you to go to another pharmacy to get prescriptions. They will refuse to fill your prescription and tell you to buy it over the counter.Hopefully, this town will have more options soon because of the population boom. I hope they like new people in Cle Elum, especially since it is directly off I-90. I advise having your stuff delivered so you do not have to interact with the local trash. It is good that they are replacing their easy jobs with AI and robots (schadenfreude), especially with the current threats of this day and age. They do not deserve half a star.

Two days since my Dr sent electronic RX and I still don't have critical asthma medication. I called tonight to ask if they had RX, they had part of it but have to order it tomorrow. The other items I was told to order online or go to Ellensburg. Such professionals! We need numerous pharmacies in Cle Elum, not just the two we have.

Mainly 3-5 people working and they can only help ONE at a time. Very frustrating when the others are staring at a computer screen in the back and glancing up at you from time to time while you wait on line!
