Generally an okay hardware store, I've shopped there for years and they have a good selection. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful except for this one mean old guy, Garry, who is just awful. I rarely interact with him but I see him be consistently rude to customers and his fellow employees alike. I'm guessing he's an owner or manager because I can't see how his attitude would be tolerated otherwise. It creates such an awkward situation as a customer when an employee is yelling across the room or acting like customers are stupid for asking questions. I'll bet everyone is just waiting for him to retire and go away.

The worst customer service I have ever had. Down right rude, I listened to one worker tell someone that they would move their vehicle with a forklift because they were getting ready to close the yard and the customer needed a sheet of something. I went in for lumber another time and they stated the yard was closed "didn't I read the paper on the door" nope I didn't but thanks for the rudeness while saying so. I do not read every paper on business doors. I will never be back to that store again. Period.

Their Receipts Say They Will Only Refund Within Thirty Days. They Won't Even Give Store Credit If You Come In After Thirty Days. BUILDERS DOES NOT BELONG IN COLVILLE. Lowe's And Home Depot Treat Their Customer Better Than This.

Ace is a good store to shop at as they have friendly service and a wide variety of products for sale. Their staff understands customer needs and almost always immediately know where a specific item is on the shelf. Their tool selection is decent and while they have a nice indoor selection, they have even more items in their yard than you'll find at many other Ace stores.
