About Fort Casey State Park
Fort Casey State Park is an amazing and fun place to explore, perfect for families and kids. Visitors can walk around the whole historic fort, see impressive gun installations, and explore the bunkers and beach. It is a great place for children to play and adventure, though some areas can feel spooky. The park offers beautiful ocean views where you can see boats, ships, and ferries. Activities include flying kites, having barbecues, going camping, and playing at the beach. A Discover Pass is required for entry. The park has a lawn picnic area to enjoy snacks with a view, clean public restrooms, and is dog-friendly with plenty of leashed trails. There is no playground, but the fort itself serves as one. A visit on a sunny day is highly recommended.
This is a really cool state park that lets you explore and old fort „freely“. The volunteers are a highlight and offer great insight into the history of the place. There are great views and a lighthouse you can enter for free. There is plenty of parking and clean washrooms.
