They will raise your rent if they are at full capacity acting like a low availability means a lost of money for them, they will raise your money immediately upon move in do not rent with this facility I have stayed many years with extra space however this specific site is ran by a greedy manager rather than being happy being at full capacity they’d rather raise your rent. I will no longer give them my service. Also be aware of bugs and trash in the building. This facility is poorly managed.
My rent was increase after two months and they did so in December per their online information this can only occur durning “in demand seasons such as summer” fraudulent statement! They will raise them during the holidays literally when no one is moving!
HOW OFTEN DOES EXTRA SPACE STORAGE RAISE RATES?
Prices often increase during in-demand seasons. For examples, rates often increase during the summer, which is considered peak moving season. Be aware that factors like administrative charges and insurance costs can also affect monthly rates.
To management responding to my post I already called so please stop with your fake “concerns” greedy business!

I think it’s terrible they can raise your rates at any given time, without much notice. I would avoid renting space here at all costs. We were only there 6 months & they raised our rate $100.00 a month. No lock in contracts. One of the biggest rip offs!

Ongoing access issues at this location for over a week. The gate and access code system repeatedly fails, making it impossible to reliably enter the property at any time of day.
There were no notifications, no emails, no texts, and no emergency access code provided, despite this being a known ongoing issue affecting multiple customers.
I am paying monthly but cannot consistently access my own unit. Driving from another city only to arrive and be locked out without warning is unacceptable.
Local management has clearly failed to resolve or properly communicate this issue. This location should not be advertising reliable access when it cannot provide it.

David was very helpful helping me unlock my storage, which I unfortunately lost. Also made transfer of a new unit stress free. The process was stress free, I would definitely recommend this storage. The staff is amazing

I would say to be very careful if you are renting storage at this place! I had no problem until this particular company took over the space in Covington! I have been on auto pay since I opened my account over three years ago! I have been kicked off auto pay more than once and I just found out. I’m kicked off auto pay again for no reason! I’m being charged $50 more this month for late fees! To say I am pissed is putting it mildly! I am going to be looking for another place to rent! Oh and did I mention that I am 70 years old on fixed income so $50 is a lot of money for me!

Every six months or so they raising rent.
So if it started at $60, Two years later it was $175.
Also when I was moving out, I was packing my car pretty late, at closing time, and at 22:01 security notified me that I have to leave the property, which lead me to leave my storage unit open, because I would not be able to reenter the door or elevator.
So I had to come back to this place at 6am, before someone would take my stuff.
Other than that, this place was secure and clean as to my knowledge. Well managed, except for the security yearling at me to get off the property through the speaker.

Very clean! However, after renting a second unit the Rent was increased by over $100 after 2 months. Will be looking elsewhere for storage.

November 2025: Would I rent here again? Only if David is manager. Why? Cause honesty, integrity and respect are top priority when doing money and business.
David is a great man, loves to laugh, fun stories and all heart if you hear him out and participate in your journey too. He will follow through on his end to connect missing dots keeping everyone whole if you can avoid being rude. If the struggle is real, come in person to talk and bring any details you have. He wants to help.
Newest Manager David and assistant Abby are phenomenal slowly cleaning up the place. As a customer: if you see something, say something to David in office. I hope the district manager (Mickey?) will be willing to hear out client stories plus Davids insights as he continues to develop progress going forward. He is certainly the man for the job.
