10/10 do not recommend working here. I worked here for over a year and i don't know why i stayed so long. The management treats you like shit no matter what you do, you have to constantly deal with homeless stealing and being around the store. I even had to deal with a group of people trying to shoot it up cause they got caught stealing. I was a courtesy clerk and I felt VERY unsafe being outside getting carts alone at night due to all the homeless sleeping on the sides of the store. At 16 i was forced to clean up drug paraphernalia in the bathrooms after homeless being in there.

I have been going to my local Safeway for over three years and today when I went back at 7:00 am there was four handicap carts and not one was plugged in and not one was working! Either employees are blind or lazy. I certainly can shop elsewhere

I've gone here several times to pick up dog food and other items , it seems like every time I'm in here it's a gamble on whether the Internet works or not because they do have digital coupons or Members Only coupons or something you have to scan while in the aisle for the coupon or the savings to work and when I open up the app for the Safeway, it just sits there and spins like it it trying to load .I have reset my phone to see if it works and I get the same problem. I have checked to make sure I am connected to the guest Internet I have, checked to make sure everything's up-to-date on my app The bakery department is pretty good most of the time, and I always seem to get help when there pick it up a special cake or pie. Very busy parking lot

This place is a wreck. I've shopped here on/off for 20 years and the last 5 years have proven to be too much for this place. Hours after opening the commonly have no fresh bakery items out (just like this morning), the store is still full of carts, dolly's, and ladders w/people restocking so it's like an obstacle course trying to get through the store, and the floors & shelves are dirty . And the plethora of druggies/homeless that are allowed to loiter in front and around this store is ridiculous .I'm so tired of having to drive to other cities to shop - but I guess that's what they want.

I stop in at 7:00 am often- on my way to work. This morning I got in line for Starbucks behind a store manager. The Starbuck manager was busy flirting away with him- she barely acknowledged me- and continued to fix his drink and still chatting with him. I was on my way to work- and couldn't wait. He is at work- is this good customer service to make me wait- when he could have waited- because he was already at work- and I was on my way to work!!!!!!

I really like the Safeway store in Covington such very nice employees and they must have a good manager because it's very clean and quite organized. I always leave there having a good feeling. It might cost a bit more but the atmosphere and employees are worth it

Graffiti needs to be removed. Maybe the unused dumpster structure should be removed to stop repeating tagging. The exterior walls have had graffiti on them for months.

Poor customer service, lines were backed up and only two checkers. Had to go through self checkout and the checker in self checkout was rude. I will never shop safeway again.

They need to seriously remodel this store. It's so dated and old feeling when you enter. Employees at this store really aren't that friendly and walk right past you when you ask them a question. The pre-made sandwiches are a hit or miss. You really need to look at the date of when they are made. The last sandwich I purchased was old, soggy and nasty tasting! And the food at the China Express isn't that great either

The lady in the hairnet in the deli had no idea what she was doing. Ask her a question and she was looking around for about four minutes before I just said no thank you and walked out.

During this Co-Vid time I had the opportunity to have my groceries delivered by Safeway in Covington Wa. I'll I can say is they're the best. The delivery people are amazing. Even when I had the courage to out shopping a couple of weeks ago I felt the store was very clean and the 6 ft distancing was being abided by. All the employees are ALWAYS courteous at that store.

At least when I went there was only one human lane open and that was for 15 items or less. If you had more you had no choice but to use their new self checkout system! Doesn't work well in a grocery environment where you have lots of produce which doesn't scan so you have to look it up and a tiny bagging area. I used to be okay paying higher prices here (than say WinCo) because they bagged the groceries and it was more convenient, but now WinCo actually has better service since they scan it and provide ample room for you to bag (at cheaper prices too). What a shame. Shopped here for decades, but won't be doing any of my main grocery shopping here again.

I have been shopping at this Safeway since it opened. It has been clean and well organized. The employees work hard and are friendly in a professional way. We particularly like some of the items in the deli, and make a trip to Safeway for our roast beef for sandwiches with the football games. Another area that we make a special stop for is their cake. Our family really likes Safeway cake - every time we have had it.

Worst grocery store in the area. Usually only 1 checker, no matter how long the line. Manager needs to take advice from neighboring stores to get paying customers through the line. Will go elsewhere whenever possible.

This Safeway is good however I have an issue with 2 young men who were standing outside the store just outside the exit begging for money to support their high school football team. Bad idea! First I do not like high schoolers especially the boys ( too wild) and they were acting real immature. And, I was wondering why with social media, and the GoFundMe page why that wasn't pursued? I have an issue when I come out the store I don't want to be bombarded with a young man carrying a big sign that I have little time to read begging for money that I can't afford anyway! There are many ways to fund raise. I also didn't like these guys they were rowdy, and not very professional acting....UGH! I called and apparently for reasons that are a mystery to me the management gave those boys permission to pester the customers. Really? Didn't they something better to do than to troll a Safeway store on a Sunday? I'll have to go elsewhere.
