I stop in here fairly regularly and if you haven't been recently, say mid 2023, it's worth a visit. There's been some renovations done. Since rebranding to Circle K the place is cleaner and it seems like the staff is friendlier. Prices are still a bit high, but it's a convenience store in Dayton, WA.

Sandwiches and turkey roll ups were expired. Bean and cheese burritos were extremely hard. Everything is high priced there.

I stopped by for lunch on a motorcycle ride. I had the Wally burger and fries (steak fries). The hamburger was good, but the French fries were excellent!! Price was OK ($8.00). They have indoor seating. The store has your basic mini-mart stuff and extras. They have pool tables and a few videos games, but you can't drink alcohol inside.

When exploring the palouse hills Lewis & Clark explored over a century ago, one wonders whether L&C would have totally dug The General Store. I think...yes. Whenever I'm passing through the sleepy town of Dayton, I find myself stopping here for gas, provisions, and local flare. The staff here are very nice, welcoming, and proud of their town. One of my favorite features here: their baked goods. I seem to always walk away from here with 6-dozen sugar cookies. They're evil because of their utter goodness. Whenever flyfishing the Touchet, this is a nice pitstop to make.
