Friendly staff, attentive lifeguards, great lap pool + wading pool. The locker room had showers, free lockers (BYOL), and a wall of blow dryers (men side, though I imagine women side too). At $5 for a nonresident of Normandy Park or Des Moines and $4 for a resident, can't beat that!

Welcome to the Mount Rainier Pool page. Mount Rainier Pool is an indoor facility governed by the Des Moines Pool Metropolitan District. We are just south of the Mount Rainier High School campus. Some of the many programs we offer include Swim Lessons, Lap Swims, Water Exercise classes, as well as Public and Family Swims. We offer swimming lessons throughout the year for children and adults of all ages. Lap swims occur several times during the day for people with varying schedules and we have Public or Family swims at least once every day. Call us at (206) 824-4722.
