First time calling this pharmacy to help my father get a vacation override from his insurance for his medications and had the worst experience talking to a pharmacy representative named KATIE. She was rude, snappy, and consistently trying to talk over you. I understand “they’re busy” but it doesn’t mean you can’t be nice to customers. To think that you are supposed to help people/patients feel better by helping provide their treatments/medications, you can do the opposite by treating them like this. If you constantly feel overwhelmed and can’t handle the stress of your job without taking it out on your customers, you probably need to find another job that don’t require interaction with people because you seriously need customer service skills. I don’t think I’ll be recommending going to this pharmacy to anyone because of her.UPDATE: Called three days later to follow-up on the request only to find out that nothing has been done. I basically had to re-request everything and do everything all over again but another person assisted at this time. So she basically didn’t do what she said she was gonna do. I’m glad I followed-up because they would end up leaving for an extended vacation without medications because someone didn’t do her job. This is not acceptable!

Told pharmacy transferring from, myself, and my doctor that they had medication. Didn't have it. So ordered it. Never arrives. Then they say they gave my medication to another customer, and nothing they can do about it.

Moved to the area recently so I asked my doctor to send my four medications to this pharmacy. I went there and they told me that there is only one. I called and had my doctor to send it again. I went back to the pharmacy and talked this time to the pharmacist in charge and he told me that there is NO medication for me. I called my doctor's nurse, then the nurse gave me the exact date and time the pharmacy received the medications at, with a confirmation from the pharmacy itself. I asked my clinic to send the medications to Bartell, which I never used, and boom, I had all of my medications ready in one day. This pharmacy is a waste of time. Try hard to avoid it.

Overall, the pharmacy has done it's job as far as contacting my Doctor and getting expired prescriptions renewed. But Their customer service while you are in the store is horrible. The only reason I don't switch to Bartell's is because I grocery shop at Safeway. But I always stop at the pharmacy first so there's plenty of time for those idiots to get it right while I'm doing my shopping, because they won't get it right when you first get there, and everytime the person you are talking to has to do an override and get the main pharmacist out to do it, and in the meantime the person you were talking to is now at the other cash register helping somebody else . Ridiculous.

No matter what time I go there are a dozen people in line. I finally gave up and transferred my prescription across the street to bartels. The exact same prescription, same count was $11.28 at Safeway and $1.21 at bartells. Within walking distance from Safeway! I’ll never go back to Safeway.

Katie you could use some serious customer service skills. You are very snippy! You talk over people and are very condescending. It doesn't cost you anything to change the tone of your voice and pleasantly do your job. Changing to this pharmacy has been stressful mostly because of the time lag I experienced getting my meds. Having questions answered in the tone and manner that I did only added to my stress. Looking at other options for a pharmacy. Since I have to take meds every day of my life and going to the pharmacy monthly, this is not the kind of experience I want to have. Hey Safeway Management - try reading your reviews. Looks like you are allowing this to happen!

Katie is the rudest pharmacy tech I’ve ever encountered. She has the worst communication skills over the phone. I’m surprised she is still licensed as a pharm tech, I guess she missed the learning module about customer service and being a decent kind person. Based on my experience and the reviews of other patients, the community would be better off without her working at this pharmacy.

Katie in the phamacy is RUDE, entitled and often gets my prescriptions wrong. I am going to file a complaint with the state for all the problems I have had with them. I am shocked they still can operate legally.

I just transferred a Safeway prescription to this Safeway and they are making me wait to get a consult from the pharmacist for a prescription I have been taking for a year. There are four employees behind the counter and no one can help. There are 5 of us standing here. And there were 4 in front of me waiting when I got here. I wont be back.

Thought I made it just in time to get a 2 Liter and the lady locked it right when I got to the door at 11:50 saying they are closed and the sign says they close at 12 not 11:50

Need to find a new store as this one is so terribly managed. The pharmacy is fine but I cant handle having to watch security hassle and abuse patrons of color when I enter Safeway. I know it isn't the pharmacy persay but Safeway's abuse is a reflection of their practices.Place still doesn't understand their lack of respect gets them no respect. Treat people with abuse and you get it. An eye for an eye and the whole world is blindSafeway made profit during covid and got PPP loans. Remember that when you want to abuse the homeless.

Katy (or whatever her name is) the technician responsible for answering the phone. You are THE rudest, most entitled and overall the most insolent technician I have ever encountered…and that’s coming from a licensed healthcare professional. Belittling your customers over the phone I presume is not a standard Safeway pharmacies upholds. Whatever sick power trip you gain speaking to customers like that is beyond me. Someone as yourself should never be in a position of customer service. Based on the reviews this is something that has been going on for years. Seek help you are the embodiment of a bitter human being who uses others as an outlet. I will be contacting corporate.

Good luck trying to get your desperately needed meds. About 75% of the time I have some kind of issue. There's been a few times where I've had to go all weekend without my meds because they had to order it and it's taken days and they don't get it in time. I get this medicine every month I don't understand how they can't keep track of their stock. It's ridiculous. Also there is one chick there who has the worst attitude ever. Always rude...in person and over the phone!! I actually get anxiety just having to interact with her. She has even yelled at my FIL a few years back...and when my FIL said she shouldn't be so rude she used her being pregnant as an excuse for her rudeness. Totally unacceptable, but apparently customer service isn't a thing anymore. Avoid if you can...if I could, I would!
