What a treasure!! I stopped by with my two sons (5 and 8) and the owner very kindly helped them pick out buttons, then didn't judge me while I had them look at their iPad (with headphones) while I picked out yarn. A beautiful selection of British, US and NZ wool, with some from Turkey as well-- and that was just what I had a chance to quickly look at. I will be back!

Fantastic yarn store that caters not just to knitting but to the full realm of fiber art including spinning and weaving. They usually have a fantastic sale section, which makes nice yarn accessible for more people. Some of the lower reviews complaining about not being able to exchange needles are ridiculous – this is essentially a policy at every single yarn store that I have ever been to. If your boyfriend or girlfriend bought the wrong size of needles be mad at them, not at the store. Or, get yourself a set of interchangeable needles.Overall this is an excellent, cozy and welcoming yarn store, and a wonderful local business to support.

cool store love buying local right but my gf bought the wrong size needles for finishing a project (literally purchased them yesterday we have the receipt) and we biked back into town today to exchange them for the next size up & you can't do that. apparently they have problems with people returning needles & abusing the system. so that's sort of frustrating but i guess gotta do what you gotta do. i'd personally do a 2 strike policy or something but i'm not the owner. better to lose a single $7 sale than a customer

My husband and I came here as our last stop for the 2022 Yarn Crawl and it’s such a sweet store. The people there were very friendly, the store was clean and well-lit. It is NOT wheelchair or walker accessible however, as the aisles are much too small for it.

Lovely spot in Duvall with fabulous selection of yarns. Sales person was very helpful. But I hopes for needlepoint yarn. Alas, none!

I went in to Quintessential Knits last week and was helped by a very nice lady I was looking for a specific type and shade of yarn (she also tried to help me find a sock pattern but we didn't have luck but that is not what this is about). I got a different shade of yarn much darker than I had wanted for the project, I had mentioned that it was my first time in and I was apprehensive about the dark color but would take it and see if it was going to work. After some more thought and looking at my pattern again I realized that the yarn was much to dark to show off the intricate stitching and it just wasn't the color I was looking for. I went back in to the store yesterday to return the yarn and perhaps see if they could get the yarn I wanted in the color I wanted (or anything close would have worked also). Once I got to the counter I was told that the return policy is store credit only. I was directed to a small sign taped to the point of sale that was half hidden behind other items on the counter. The sign did clearly state the return policy. My frustration is that the person helping me knew I wasn't familiar with the store, knew I was apprehensive about the color, but still failed to mention the "return" policy. I am now stuck with a credit at a store that I will have to use, they don't have the color of yarn that I want for the project, the lady looking up to see if they could order it suggested I come back and talk to the owner to see if she knew of a yarn that would work. She kept mention other local yarn stores to check out to see if they had what I wanted, but I let her know multiple times that I had to get it from their store since I was stuck with a credit there.I will have to go back and use my store credit, I am very unhappy but I will not let them just keep my money.
