“Goodwill in East Wenatchee has a lovely employee named Miette.
Miette was the epitome of excellent customer service tonight. The patience and human kindness that was displayed by this cashier brought warmth to my heart.
After seven pm and getting close to closing, patience generally runs thin in any retail establishment but Miette kept smiling and chatting with the woman at the counter that was obviously starved for someone to speak with.
Even as a line began to form, Miette kept eye contact with this customer and remained engaged as she rang up her items. Never once did I hear an impatient tone as she dealt with this woman that obviously needed to be heard.
Thank you, Miette, for the few moments you spent with that customer tonight.
