A clean place is a priority for me. I decided to try this place out with my 5 year old. As soon as I walked in I wanted to leave. One of the ladies was nice but the one who did our pedicures was very cold and rude. When I came up to the pedicure chair I noticed no towel at all. A nail brush and a heel scrubber by each station. I felt so gross sticking my feet in their tubs. No towel, no plastic liner. I have been to places years ago that used a plastic liner that helped me feel clean. As well as disposable heel scrubber/tools.I noticed no autoclave for proper sterilization. They just re use the heel scrubber on all customers. Technician was not wearing gloves either. I was so grossed out but I didn’t want to cause a fuss in front of my daughter because was our special girl time. I will not be coming back to this salon. I believe proper sanitation needs to be implemented and some kind of liner in the tub/disposable tools, especially heel scrubber. With a clean towel for customer to place their feet on while sitting on pedicure chair. Overall this place looks like it’s cutting corners, very cheap on supplies. I am thinking of calling the pierce county health dept as well. Numerous customers have left similar reviews I can see it’s not a priority for the owner. At the end when I went to pay, I was asked if I wanted to leave a tip. I felt so awkward, i gave $2. Technician took the tip from the machine and left the desk, no bye, thank you. It was very rude. In the end I am praying I don’t contract any fungus from this visit, or my daughter. Horrible experience. Will continue the search for a clean nail salon.

I went to do a ped, and the chair was dirty and really uncomfortable chair. Then one of the ladies did the job on my toes. She made small cut that made me bleed, and then she's like I didn't cut the piece! I was like no, you didn't but you hurt me that's why I'm bleeding. Time to pay she asked me, you want to add tip. OF COURSE NOT. you hurt me and you want tip. Really?? BS

Awful place. Very dirty. I have been to nicer places and have been charged less for a full set and pedicure. Not to mention my nail technician was very rude to me when I tried to make small conversation with her. I wanted to leave during the middle of my nails being done. It was also weird she asked me how much I wanted to tip? Just a weird feeling overall.

From the moment I walked in the place was really dirty. The chairs they have to sit on while you wait have huge black spots on them from not being cleaned. I came in to get my eyebrows waxed and when I walked into the room, they expected me to lie down on a table that had hairs from previous customers on it. They didn’t have the paper to lie down on like they have at other places I have gone to. They also asked me to wear a head band to keep the hair away from the wax. I asked the lady if it had been sanitized and she said that next time I should bring my own if I’m afraid of using theirs. When it was time to pay, the lady took my card, looked into my eyes and asked, “how much do you want to tip?” The tips are usually a private matter and here they ask you straight up how much you’re going to tip them. Worst place ever. I’m never going back to this place.

Hello everyone, I can truly say that this is one of the best salon in town, their prices are just right. I have tried all 3 techs, they all do a phenomenal job. There are mixed reviews, but I have never had any issues with Star Nails. My advice is to give them a try, if you don't like it, don't come back...but I have been coming here for the past 10 years.

First time here and the nail tech that did my fill was rude. She burned my skin with the drill because I think.aje was rushing as they were getting ready to close. Around my nails on my skin had residue. I always get my nails done but this by far the worst place I've been to never again will I spend money here. Just terrible. On the sign it says fill is 25 to 30 dollars but my bill came out to 40.00

It was urgent that I find a nail salon early in the morning because two of my nails were popping off and I was needing them done ASAP. By total magic I randomly found this place on my way home and I have to say the customer service was marvelous. My nails were tended to with care and extra acrylic was put on so that my nails would not break. I am super happy with the results & will return in 3 weeks.

First time in and they were not busy at all. Tech seemed to be in a hurry and definitely did not follow all 'pedicure procedures' that I have had done at many other nail salons, or am used to. Also, the massage chair needs fixed.. haha. Later, I discovered one of my toenails weren't cut properly, there was a slit at the top, and the nail and polish was chipped!Service: Pedicure

? I couldnt believe any of what happened during my "pedicure " . You shouldnt be leaving a nail salon in a near panic. She tried to charge me for a manicure when I only got polish. Argued with me all the way to the cash register where she added her own tip of 5 $ after we discussed the final charges .Services: Pedicure

I had an appointment on my PROM DAY and they forgot about me and let other people first and want me to wait 40 mins.
