I never thought I'd be saying this about a hardware store, but the local Ace Hardware is a fun one to browse through. It's got more of a general store feel, and the employee spirit is positive and community-oriented. It's so refreshing to see this, and I'm sure makes regulars out of many. Seems like there's always a smiling face willing to help you out.
Plus, they have barbecue and cupcakes!! ?

This was a grocery store before Ace Hardware moved in and there's still some groceries and a deli inside. The deli is the main character with surprisingly flavorful BBQ.
I had the pulled pork sandwich and baked beans. If I'm critiquing them, the Georgia in me would say the BBQ was a touch too salty and the beans were a little too dominated by the peppers, but don't let that take away from how pleased I was to find good BBQ in Edmonds. I will definitely go back.

Love this store! Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. This store has a little bit of everything, including a fresh in-store deli with yummy food, and a Washington Department of License office!!

Wow, just wow. Was delighted see that about one third of this business is Grocery items. After not finding what I was looking for, even with a employee helping me, I decided to but a juice. At the checkout, I swipped my EBT card and pressed the emblem on the screen. That was when I was told the company does not have EBT clearance. What a loss. Here I am trying patronize a local company... but that's OK, cause most of the grocery items are junk and not local. There does seem to be a local bakery that sells near-organic ingredients, but I won't buy it here.
