In response to your reply, to my review of the Harbor Inn Mr. Murray, Yes, you can definitely say our experience was less than stellar, and although we did NOT physically stay at your hotel, your front office clerk, Samantha, charged us, as though we did. We reserved a room with two queen beds for three nights. When we arrived for check-in, Samantha was outside with her dog. She irritatedly made reference, that every time she steps outside, somebody wants to check in. She brought her dog inside, and we were surprised that she then set it on the check-in counter. My husband checked in, and after hauling our suitcases upstairs to the FIRST room, upon entering, an awful smell awaited. We immediately opened the windows and turned the room fan on, hoping it would dissipate. We walked two blocks to the beach, and then quickly returned to the same bad smell. My husband called the front desk immediately, and spoke with Samantha, who said that the hotel was aware of the problem, with this particular room. She mentioned that the room had been a long-term rental, and that the renter had been using a hot plate to cook Asian food in the room. Samantha advised that the hotel had tried, but could not remedy the smell, but mentioned that she had another room to try with a king bed. We hauled our belongings to the SECOND room. Upon entering, we were greeted by a housekeeping staff member, who was already in the room, and on the phone with Samantha, explaining that we could not stay in this room either. There was a substance spilled all over the couch and cushions. We had to set our luggage down and wait to see if there might be a third room to try. We were then told that the third room had a king bed and we were willing to take a look. Again, after hauling our luggage to the THIRD room it was not a room with a king bed, but rather a small queen. As the last resort, Samantha said, she only had one more room, but only for one night, and we needed a room for three nights. My husband immediately asked for a manager, and was told that you were out sick, but would return the next morning. Our original reservation was for a room with two queen beds, for three nights, and your hotel could clearly not accommodate our reservation. After so much inconvenience by your hotel, and no manager to help us, we decided we would go to a hotel that could accommodate our requested reservation. Samantha told us she was going to charge us, even though we DID NOT USE ANY OF THE THREE ROOMS THAT WE STEPPED INTO. My husband got your phone number and email address and called the next morning & left a message. He did not hear from you. What happened to us was egregious, and should never happen to a customer. As a manager, you should have more oversight on what your employees are doing. Just as importantly, it's your responsibility to know the conditions of your rooms, before something like this happens to your unsuspecting customers.

All staff are very friendly and very professional. They go out of their way to accommodate your requests. Breakfast is very good; it includes make-your-own waffles, pastries, a protein etc., as well as coffee and juice. A coffee and tea station is always available once the Breakfast Room closes at 10:30 AM. There is a pool on this property, although we didn’t use it. A washer and dryer are available for extended stays. Massages are also available, although these are is not on the hotel property.Walkability: Breakfast is always complementary. A few doors down is the Channel Marker Pub, serving lunch and dinner from 11 AM until 10 PM.

Clean rooms. Noisy location... bring your ear plugs if train whistles and industrial noise disturbs your sleep.

I travel quite a bit with my work and I always look forward to my stays in Edmonds. The hotel staff are very helpful, the amenities are excellent; I recently learned you get a voucher for the gym next door when staying here which is an awesome perk. Definitely would recommend staying here!

The room was clean and very comfortable because the temperature was perfect on a cold night. I appreciated the different pillows as well, from firm to soft. They have a nice breakfast bar if you have time to make pancakes or waffles, and again, the breakfast bar is nice and clean. Staff was friendly. The only problem was finding the hotel even with my GPS because it is tucked off the main road. It was dark and rainy making it hard to see but I found it! Stay there and you will have a comfortable rest!

Short walk to shops, restaurants, ferry terminal, marinas, and the lovely artsy downtown section! Spacious rooms (wifi a bit unreliable in ours), excellent breakfast buffet, friendly staff, includes passes to the giant health club next door, this place is a gem! Mind you, it's a rambling structure which clearly used to have a front entrance elsewhere, and if you are arriving at night you need to go around the place clockwise until you get to what initially looked like the side (but the real "front entrance" also has a large drive thru portico... not the small "old" one!), to reach the front entrance. Quirky, but the rooms are kept sweet and clean, and the lobby always has coffee and tea and cold water with orange slices or cucumber slices or whatever in the dispenser. Just a nice experience!

We never write negative reviews however this is a special occasion. I travel monthly for work and I have never been treated so poorly and rudely by any hotel staff. We received 2 calls during the evening. The first was because our dogs were barking (they were actually sleeping). The second one was because the tv was too loud. We had on subtitles because to keep it quieter. We called to book the room for an additional night in the morning and confirmed that we could stay in the same room which was why we booked for one additional night. An hour later we received a call from the front desk saying we couldn’t stay there because they received over 20 noise complaints the night before. At first they said it was the people below us. And then later they said it was the whole third floor. I’m not sure how my wife and I could even make enough noise to disturb the entire 3rd floor. The staff agreed that it was likely due to the cheap and old construction and empathized with us however we still could not stay. The staff either lied to us about the number of complaints or the hotel is so cheap that they should remove the television and tell people it is only for sleeping.Moral of the story, the staff here was so rude and we will certainly never stay here again. If you plan to stay here be ready to be asked to leave if you decide to watch TV…

The hotel has a somewhat outdated appearance, and the room has a musty odor. Additionally, our heating and cooling unit was not cleaned properly, with visible dead bugs trapped inside. If you need to stay near the pier, this might be the best option available, but if not, consider choosing another accommodation.

I have stayed here over the years and it has always been a fine experience. Good location when in town and decent service. The hotel is always dated, not a huge deal, but over the last couple years it has gotten really dirty. Rooms are big, but not well taken care of. Carpets are gross and so stained, which makes you wonder about everything else and how well it’s cleaned. Smell was bad, they were even trying to air out my room when I arrived. Do not plan to return to this hotel anytime soon, unfortunately. Too expensive for what you get.Rooms: Dirty

I only like to write reviews when something exceeds expectations and this hotel did by far! I was traveling for a conference and work was a priority but due to the amenities, location, and wonderful breakfast, it felt more like a fun holiday. I look forward to my return visit. I hadn't associated a Best Western hotel as a destination hotel where the stay is as enjoyable as the destination, but this one was. Especially if you have to work, but want a cozy, warm vibe with good food and wonderful shops close by.

Five stars for the service & location! We were part of a large wedding party staying at this hotel. When we checked in, the reservation system was down and they were checking people in manually (including entering credit card details by hand). Very considerate and friendly service - special call outs to Emma and Sammy! Location is hard to beat if your business is in Edmonds. Recommended!

Beware: there is a new and old section. Amenities are not the same. We booked 5 rooms for 3 nights, months in advance, all were to be in the new section, all were charged $190 per night. That didn't happen. 2 rooms were in the old section: room smelled, hall carpet was very dirty, AC didn't work (3 am the heater turned on regardless of setting), no ceramic coffee cups and the coffee maker overflowed the paper cups, no water glasses, and a big hair ball on the floor. Front desk was consulted many times--nothing they could do. Management would reach out to me, nothing happened. They were fully booked and overwhelmed. Breakfast bar was crowded until after 9 so we waited. The food was not replenished. Since they knew they were at full capacity they should have prepared better. This is my first time leaving a negative review EVER.

This is the most i have ever paid for a Best Western stay. Truly extraordinarily expensive considering how old and dated the facility was. Cracked tiles in hotel entryway, room bathroom, water marked bathroom wall with water leak bubbles. Carpeting was quite quite old and dirty.Rooms: Old old rooms with moldy grout, chipped tiles on bathrooms floor. Room and hallway Carpeting was badly in need of replacement.Food & drinks: Wonderful breakfast, well well done by the staff.
