We visited Burlington in Edmonds hoping to have a nice shopping experience with our son, who was excited to pick out a ball and some toys to play with the next morning. It was also a special day — my mother had come from out of state, and we were planning to surprise her with a few gifts for her birthday.
Unfortunately, this experience was completely ruined because of the rude and unprofessional behavior of the security guard. After we had already spent time shopping and were calmly standing in line, he suddenly raised his voice and yelled at us, telling us to “throw away your items and leave!” He refused to allow the kind cashier to help us and forced us — along with other customers — out of the store for no reason.
We were shocked and deeply disappointed. No one explained what was happening. Some customers were still waiting peacefully, yet we were treated like we had done something wrong. This is the second bad experience we’ve had at Burlington, and it’s truly unacceptable.
We hope you take this feedback seriously. Customers deserve to be treated with basic respect, especially families trying to create joyful moments together

The Burlington store in Edmonds doesn’t even deserve one star. Around 10:15 PM, I was already in line to pay, and I waited for about 15 minutes. There was only one cashier, and five people were ahead of me. We were all waiting patiently.
Then Jake, the rude and unprofessional security supervisor, came over. Instead of letting us finish paying, he turned off the lights and yelled at us to “throw away your items and leave!” The cashier was kind and tried to help, but he wouldn’t allow it. He kicked us all out for no reason — even though we had already spent our time shopping and were standing in line.
The store is a mess, dirty, disorganized, and clearly managed poorly. This behavior is disrespectful and unacceptable.
And this is the second bad experience I’ve had with Burlington. The first was at the Lynnwood location, where I was overcharged $70 because the cashier was too busy talking with someone to notice her mistake.
Burlington, you need to change your rude attitude, replace people who have no respect for customers, and clean up your stores. I will never come back, and I’ll tell everyone I know about this awful experience.

After driving around for what feels 10 minutes, i finally found the entrance. Was kinda spooked with all the people out there, was told they had an item and then when arrived there. Staff seem to be there to help out and polite. Would recommend parking close and going in near the antique store as it can be hard to find the entrance.

This store is a HOT MESS!! I have never been in a messy store like this before. Clothes, shoes, furniture, rugs you name is thrown all around the store. Food items from inside the store and fast food cups and half eaten things found on shelves. Dirty freaking store. I legit put what I wanted back in disgust. GOOD WILL THRIFT STORE takes more pride in their store appearance than here. Never again.
