Absolutely terrible. It's like the want no one to go there.
I spend 20 minutes waiting in line, the girl at the counter helps EVERY person before me, with paperwork, packages, anything. She finally gets to me, sends me back into the line to fill out a form that wasn't available on the counter.
I get that filled out, get to spend another 15 minutes in line to change my address, while she helps everyone with every problem under the sun.
I finally get back to the counter and another woman gets my address change wrong.
I don't have time to waste at a Post Office. This is ridiculous. I would never step into this building if I could, but unfortunately for me, as post office is an essential service.
Do better.

Edit: After getting my address updated, someone from the Ellensburg post office called back and told me they received the update and said it’ll be shipped tomorrow. I added some stars back because they were really nice and helpful.
I forgot to add my apt number to the address on a package, which was obviously my bad. I went to the office to try to either a.) correct it so I could get it delivered the next day, or b.) Just pick it up as my package was sent back to the post office.
The clerk didn’t even try to help. Even though I showed him my phone, which had a big red message box on the tracking page saying my package was sent back to the post office, he wouldn’t read it. I had to point it out to him. Even then, he still insisted it was out for delivery, and just dismissed me like I can’t read. He didn’t even lookup the tracking number on his system or anything.
I gave customer support a call, and the representative I talked to helped me update my address in under 5 minutes. The rep was also super nice and helpful. However, I can see why this place is in the 1 star rating range on here.

They leave packages in the snow and poor weather, instead of on the covered front porch like UPS and FedEx does. That is if they deliver them to the right house, or at all.

The office crew is great! It is a bummer of a rule that packages can’t be delivered beyond half a mile from Your mailbox when one lives in the country. But that’s not their fault…

This place is a joke, the machine tells you to please hold it'll transfer you, but it never transfers you, it just cuts off the line. Pretty sure the mail delivery person stole my package. Brent W is the worst of them all.

Scheduled a passport appointment even got multiple confirmation texts and emails. Showed up and he said no appointments for the week ‘should’ have went through. 🙃

I know this Post Office is overwhelmed with mail and the counter staff is jaded when it comes to resolving issues. It's bad enough to have to wait 20 minutes to reach the counter to find out why my certified letter that was mailed on Aug. 27, went to Seattle distribution center, and to Yakima distribution center, then back to the Ellensburg Post Office. Never making it to the final destination. Then I was only told that it was originally miss scanned, but sent back (Aug 30) out once they received it. I've been following the tracking number since and it hasn't left the Ellensburg Post Office, now Sept. 9. You'd think they would at least take a look in back. Next Please!

I love our Ellensburg post office! I have to stop here a lot to pick up packages for my work, and they are always nice and helpful! I've also had some weird and random issues with my personal mail (100% my fault) and I always get a call back with a resolution! Thank you Eburg USPS

This is really unfortunate to have to leave a review like this. This post office is mind blowingly A joke.. we have had multiple checks from contractors this year and a handful of items from Amazon not make it to us through the mail. I went in to talk to them about this, and I could not believe how much they did not care. They told me to download an app to track what’s coming. There was no customer service whatsoever as far as a concern. The guy.(Sean Clark) Didn’t even move from his desk to look into the situation. I wish there was a better option for this. The post office used to hire very competent people and pay them well. I have no idea what’s going on these days. Not to mention how many times they’ve taken my items from Amazon and literally stuffed them with all their muscle into my mailbox to make items like jeans, a coat, etc fit. They broke a couple of my items over this last year as well. They don’t own up And are too lazy to bring it to the doorstep. If I could fire them, I would.

Been waiting for my SSC and drivers license in the mail for a couple months now. Went in a few weeks ago and asked if anything has come in for me, was met with “it’s the government so it probably just takes a while to get here” and I just called the DOL and found out my license was sent back and will take another 30 days to get sent to me… again. So if you live in Ellensburg, don’t ever rely on the post office. Absolute lazy people working there that won’t do anything to help you.
