Enumclaw Sales Pavilion Inc. is Seattle's closest livestock auction, holding live auctions every Saturday with Poultry/Rabbits starting at 9am and livestock (cattle, sheep, goats, & pigs) starting at 1pm. Horse auctions are the first Sunday of the month at 12 pm. It is a licensed and bonded auction yard, regulated by the USDA and WSDA. Office hours are Monday 9-5, Tuesday 9-3, and Friday 9-1, with small livestock drop-off on Friday by arrangement; poultry is only accepted on Saturday mornings. This place has a small town atmosphere with fair prices, and people feel they can trust the staff more than at larger sales. It has been a family tradition since the 1980s, with grandparents bringing children to see and auction animals, and now those children bring their own kids to sell chickens and ducks or buy rabbits. Visitors recommend coming with family because there is so much to see, and animals can be petted before and after the auctions. The auction area has been updated with new chairs and fresh paint, but the good memories are still there. One person sold fresh goose eggs and noted that the business still had their contact information stored from many years ago. Auctions are auctions, and one always needs to be aware.

I'm an hour's drive away but it's the only place in the region. Their website says they accept consignments until 11 am but when I arrived at 10:40 I was turned away. Super frustrating especially with gas prices what they are these days. There must be a better way.

I LOVE this place! I miss the days when every town had a similar auction house! I appreciate that this business has continued to conduct business, while the other places have slowly disappeared.
