Misleading Gas Price Display
“Not honest with pricing – misleading sign vs actual charge.”
I stopped by this 76 gas station today. The large sign clearly displayed the gas price as $3.79, but when I filled up and checked my receipt, I was charged $3.99 per gallon. This kind of price discrepancy is frustrating and feels dishonest.
If there’s a difference between cash and card prices, it should be made very clear and visible—not hidden in small print. Customers deserve transparency, not surprises at the pump.
This experience left me disappointed. I hope the management corrects this issue so others don’t feel misled like I did.
Honesty builds trust.

I don't know what this place is a front for, but their gas is cheaper than anywhere. Like a dollar cheaper. But bless them, whatever the reason.

The past year or 2, the new owners, (since changing from a 7-Eleven to the current 76), have really worked hard at cleaning up this stores vibe and ensuring they try and hire dependable, honest & likable employees. And they’ve done an amazing job! (With the exception of that one staff who works graveyard shift, & is a total JERK to everyone for no reason!). lol. Literally all the other staff are by far the BEST employees to work at a single store that I’ve ever gone to! They definitely create a cool vibe and space for locals and regulars. And that’s hard to find or come across in a city that’s just outside the big city. :)

Terrible service on every visit: asked them how they are doing, they ignore that and say somethin like how can I help you. They also shorted eleven cents in gas or their pumps do bad math.

Older man with long hair working 9/4/23 is a 5/5 cashier. Prompt service, very respectful. Younger man working 9/4/23 is not prompt with service and could care less if you visit the store.

Stopped by this store for the first time ever today to get a pack of camel Turkish Royal cigarettes and to my absolute astonishment after the employee scanned the barcode the total no joke was $16.28!!! ? I understand inflation is raising the price of cigarettes but oh my God that is literally the most expensive pack of cigarettes that I have ever seen! I'm 35 years old and when I was in high school it was only $5 a pack, and on average at most convenience stores the same pack of cigarettes is around $11-$12 not the extremely unreasonable $16 and change. As any level headed person would do I respectfully declined to make my purchase at that store, and went less than a 1/4 mile west on 112th St SE to the Chevron and saved over $5 purchasing the same cigarettes for $11.50 ?

Pretty inexpensive gas for the area, Fred Meyer down the street is comparable. Nice location by the lake, a bit difficult to turn left into, must make a u-turn at the light. Area is a little sketchy at night, some homeless people come through that area a lot. I don’t like coming here (as a woman) at night by myself.
