Security asked me to remove my backpack (I take the bus, need it to carry groceries). When I asked why, showed me a sign that listed suitcases, duffels and roller bags - no backpack listing.
I dropped my bag off in the public area, ran to grab the two sodas I wanted, waited in line, and after checking out, the guard was gone - luckily my backpack was still there.
Just quit shopping here, they're not even trying.

Not as many homeless till after dusk anymore. But after dark its there store. But still continual shoplifting morning till close.

I don't like how they now have the whole ice cream freezer section locked up. It's a major inconvenience to have to get one of the employees to come and get it out for you and then they don't even let you take it up to the register yourself; they have to do that, too. I have never experienced this in any other grocery store.

Location is unfortunate but the staff are EXCELLENT and helpful!! Deli and bakery both fresh for pick up. They are doing a great job at this Safeway :)

I get it this Safeway has lots of problems with SHOPLIFTERS but I NOT one of these people and was treated like one on Saturday evening around 7:30 ish going through the self checkout. A employee approached my cart and began dumping out my candy which was purchased upon entering the store. I proceeded to checkout....... When he REMOVED MY CART... I have heavy items like a Gallon milk, case of Sprite and other stuff. I asked one of the younger cart employee could he bring me a cart? He turned his nose up and continued standing right across from where I was checking out. I then asked the employee that removed my cart to bring the cart back so that I could load my groceries and return to my car. The employee hiestantly brought my cart back! By the way the employee was wearing a grey knit shirt he had short brown hair about 40- 55 of age without no name tag to identify his self or position. I felt embarrassed and mad. I will probably return to shop and if this happens again IM GOING TO EMBARRASSE HIM BADLY WITH A HARASSMENT SUIT. STOP WHAT YOUR DOING OR BE FIRED!

Stood at the deli around 5:00pm 6/27/24 for 10 minutes while 3 employees spoke amongst themselves and took selfies.

Safeway has its hands full with shoplifters. I strongly believe this is why are food costs are so high. I wish they would share with us the damage that is actually being done. I was talking to management from Lowe's and unbelievably shoplifters are a far second in losses to dead plants. Wow, makes sense but would have never guessed that.

I have always had a pleasant experience while shopping here. Store employees have been helpful and kind when I was needing help locating items. The store is always clean and mess free.

man i get the chow mein at safeway sometimes when im craving some junk but how many times have yall been reheating these noodles for there to be mold on them lol, have never had this issue at any other safeway

The store manager or one of them discriminated my mother purchasing items using food stamps & debit card. She is an older women with glasses who came in the situation after another employee invaded her privacy by canceling the transaction as my mother was putting her pin. My mother was startled & then was told she had to pay it all. After my mother explained she was paying the rest on her card the employee grabbed the manager who didn’t bother listening to what she had to say only took the employees word. She then accused my mom of not wanting to pay an item she bought at dollar store. My mother handed her the receipt & she did not care she continued to accuse her. She said she never wanted to see her face again in the store. This is a store we always go to for years even when it was Albertsons. First time it’s happened. Main manager apologized what else could he do. My mother has not been the only one this has been done to so I learned going in today.

You should work with your business neighbors and call the Property owner about the homeless drug addicts. They need to hire security to keep them off the property. Clean the place up! Hire someone to remove those that are loitering and to pick up the trash in the parking lot. Place is disgusting.
