Awful. I'd give a negative score if possible. Poor IT systems, everything is outsourced and automated algorithms that claims I've been dead for the last 12 years. Staff claim they cannot ovveride what is obviously false. So bad you can make it up, senior management totally unresponsive and useless

Their ATMs let you deposit all your cash when your pin is wrong just to tell you it’s wrong and spit it back out at you. Shouldn’t it tell you the wrong pin has been entered BEFORE you waste time depositing your funds? Also I received less bills when the machine gave me back my money back (still need to count maybe they combined bills like fives in to tens idk but it was a smaller stack) I feel like they also need more staff because there was no one there to help out the atm folks in the front

Recommend going elsewhere for banking needs. They closed my credit card due to inactivity without giving me any notification. Since I didn't catch it same day, they just said I was out of luck. It didn’t feel like a real attempt was made to resolve this or compensate me for damaging my credit. This has major negative consequences to my credit as this was my oldest line of credit. This is highly unacceptable and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Also their interest rate on savings accounts, money market and CDs is worse than you can get with online banks.

Do not bank here. Every couple of weeks there is a random fraud alert or some unknown hold on a check. Then to fix the issue of debit card being locked you have to call a phone number that doesn’t work on weekends. They claim there is another 24/7 line but they don’t tell you what it is or post it on their website.
Every month I have to waste 5-7 hours at minimum trying to access my own money.
Oh and their automated phone system is horrible. Half the time it doesn’t know what you said and then it just hangs up on you.
Can’t give lower than 1 star

Update #2: well of course they give the whole apologies reply but it's all for nothing because he still had to change banks, and becu still basically called him a criminal, and last nothing will ever be done internally about it and they will still treat people this way it's a joke..
Update: well nothing became of that reply on the bottom, I responded just as they asked and I got one email saying they will look in to the situation, then total silence oh I just got a response saying external account now closed. So of course they have done nothing to fix this. And my father was treated like more of a criminal cause they basically said he did all this on purpose. Oh since he has to change all his account stuff he now has to wait 2 months yes 2 months to get his ssi, so that's just the icing on the cake..SO IF ANYONE TAKES SOMETHING FROM THIS REVIEW AND IS THINKING ABOUT GETTING A BECU ACCOUNT JUST KEEP LOOKING CAUSE AFTER 30 YEARS TWO MORGAGES AND SEVERAL CAR LOANS THEY WILL TREAT YOU LIKE A CRIMINAL
After 30 yrs of banking with BECU they are dropping him as a client and there reason was because of to much fraud, well all the fraud that happened which was twice, some pos scammers got a hold of his card number some how and tried stealing money from his account luckily he caught it on time, so no money was lost. So the other night he went to get gas and his card wouldn't work talk about humiliating it just said call your financial institution, so he did and they froze his account and told him he needs to find another bank, reason to much fraud, the man's almost 70 has worked very hard his whole life and has survived two strokes and is the last person who would be doing fraud with his own money... Some customer loyalty....

Becu is an awesome bank, been a member 6 months. They offer great services and went in today to get a personal loan. Sam was super knowledgeable and had excellent communication on helping out with the loan. Sam also set us up with a refinance on the car loan, saving us a lot of money. Sam was super helpful. Thank you!

I visited the BECU branch in Everett this morning to notarize some documents. At the front desk, a male staff at the front desk told me that my wife needed to be present because her name and picture were on the document. I explained to him that my wife is not required to sign only I am but he insisted she had to be there. I’ve notarized similar documents in the past without needing her present, so I was confused and frustrated.
Since they wouldn’t proceed, I went to another bank nearby. Unfortunately, the notary officer wasn’t available and I was told to come back the next day.
After that, I visited the BECU branch in Lynnwood. Before doing anything, I asked the staff member there—Hallie King—whether my wife needed to be present for the notarization, since she wasn’t required to sign any part of the document. Hallie clearly explained that my wife did not need to be there as long as she wasn’t signing. That gave me clarity and confidence to proceed. Hallie handled the entire process with professionalism, respect, and efficiency. She listened carefully, understood the situation, and completed the notarization without any unnecessary issues.
Overall, the experience started off frustrating at the Everett branch due to unclear or incorrect guidance, but ended positively thanks to Hallie King at the Lynnwood branch. I truly appreciate her helpfulness and clear communication. I hope BECU ensures that all staff are trained consistently on notary procedures to avoid confusion and inconvenience for customers in the future.

This review is entirely for Rachael in the in-app messenger. She was so extremely helpful in explaining the qualifications of a Member Advantage account! Honestly my interaction with her is what is keeping me banking with BECU!!

Already wrote a review so don't want to write that whole novel again but here's the quick run down, My father was a client here since you had to have a family member or be employed by Boeing to even be a customer with BECU going on 30+ years, well bout a month in a half ago my dad had a couple fraudulent charges on his account (dad Bio: 70, retired cause of stroke and was the hardest working man I know) and so he had to get a new card twice, he order twice on Amazon literally the first and last time he did and so because of that BECU closed his account because of fraudulent activities basically saying my dad is a criminal and was doing shady stuff with his account, oh he's had two mortgages, numerous car loans that have been completely paid in full on time, credit lines and all never have had one delinquent charge on them, they didn't even give him a chance to even talk about it , it literally took me causing a stink on here to get even a slight response and the one I got was the typical I'm very sorry we will look into it, well I never even got a response from them secondary response, and the one I did was basically the same thing and after that I tried calling numerous times and I couldn't get a answer from anybody, so now from all that he has had to open another account at different bank and had to wait a month and a half to get his social security switched over because it takes that long to change over and his line of credit he's had to pay back in full which was 6K and he doesn't have that he's living off his meager social security so if you're looking into opening account with BECU I would highly think twice about it because this is by far the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of any bank doing something like this to a customer that has had over 30 years of business with them with an absolutely no blemishes on their accounts, he said he just got tired and said screw him and he's just going to change his accounts but shame on you BECU, shame on you..

Jonathon Marion. I'm also 69, on social security and had the identical thing happen yesterday. Called them to find out why my debit card wasn't working. Told me the exact same thing they told your dad. Yesterday, new bank account somewhere else. Was on hold with social security all day. But yes. Nothing till June. I'm looking into any other options to get my payment. It's a nightmare. And all because I watched my account and reported fraud. Little things. Last fraudulent transaction was for $47.95. but when you're living on social security there's no room for error. Some people I know have called it criminal. But, very much like your dad - 23 years. Flushed me right down.

I recently visited BECU bank and was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. The place was not only nice and clean but also exuded a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were attentive and efficient, with all ten counters open, which made the entire process quick, fast, and easy.
The cleanliness and organization of the bank added to the pleasant experience, making it feel professional and well-maintained. The availability of all ten counters further ensured that there was minimal waiting time, allowing for a swift and convenient transaction.
Overall, BECU bank provided a top-notch banking experience, thanks to its clean environment, welcoming staff, and efficient service. I would highly recommend this bank to anyone looking for a hassle-free and pleasant banking experience.

I am preferred customer at BECU. However, today, received very unprofessional service. I went to Evergreen branch for some notary question. The representative in the lobby not only was mad with me that I asked lots of questions, but he began pretending that my concerns are not important and he started helping other people while not finishing addressing my consern and moved me to the side. It was very inappropriate, unprofessional and rude of him. It will be hard for me to refer others to BECU due to unprofessional behavior of welcoming stuff at this branch.
