Two years in a row my tax advisor got sick and just stopped responding to me. That would be fine, except the online system does not allow you to contact anyone else, and the H&R Block customer service agents have no idea to help in this situation. Both years I ended up calling local offices multiple times until someone answered in order to get them to figure out what to do, and both times I filed late because of this. Block Advisors' online system is atrocious, and all the CPAs freely admit this. Stay away.

Have been here before and had great service. This year, not so much. Our tax advisor was thorough but we had to come back twice which was frustrating when it could’ve been handled at first visit.Office manager Mryla tries to be too personal with those waiting in office. She shares details she shouldn’t and jokes about phone calls. Easily overhear some details I prob shouldn’t. Just not professional.Make sure you close the door when you go back to your advisor otherwise those waiting in the lobby can hear everything.

WARNING: If you use these guys, your taxes could be filed late and incorrectly and you may incur fees from the IRS due to their misconduct. The following is my story:These guys filed my taxes late and with error. When confronted they only assumed only partial responsibility. I was not informed of their misconduct until I received a letter from the IRS. Block advisors initially attributed this to a computer or technical glitch and if that was the case, I’d find it reasonable to be notified. I followed up with tax preparer I used (Mitchell) who was not helpful and seemed to ignore contact attempts. I then was referred to a manager (Peter Rodriguez) who assured me things would be taken care of after some investigating. Over the course of nearly two months, I tried contacting them by email and phone several times but was unable to get a response or a call back for a follow up. I called the HR department to have this escalated however did not receive a follow up. I was able to find Peter Rodriguez personal number however he apparently has since left the company and referred me to the regional manager Lou. He said he would follow up with a solution and did not call me back until I pushed for a response after 3 weeks. They offered a mere partial refund for the absolutely disgusting disservice that took on my part nearly 30 phone calls and 10 emails from October 23rd to January 8th, 2021... in regards to a 2019 tax return.
