I really hate to write this. I am from New Mexico and had found a “unicorn” of a Ford F250…one owner, clean Carfax, and very very low miles. I put a down payment to secure, and arranged travel to Everett from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I paid the remainder by wire transfer enroute to Everett. When I landed in Seattle, my wife and I grabbed an Uber to Checkered Flag Motors. We drove the truck and proceeded to sign the papers. My issue was not with any of that. John was great. Scott is where my problem started and ended. After signing everything, he casually mentioned that they have a “policy” of holding the title for 10 days. I asked why. He told me because they had “bad checks in the past.” I told him, “I paid by wire transfer. You have my money. Why do you need to hold my title?” He then changed his story to “we do that no matter how you pay.” I said, “well I’m moving to Missouri as soon as we drive back.” He said, “well how am I supposed to send you the title?” That was my point in the first place. Scott seemed to not care that I had traveled 1500 miles, paid cash, and now had to drive back home and then continue to St. Louis, all without the title to my truck. So I’m left having to hope that the title shows up somewhere along my journey and that I can get it to where I need to get the truck registered. The craziest thing he asked me after I had called to see if there was any word on getting the title was “what do you need the title for?” I was completely taken aback. I actually called the Police in Everett because Scott made me that uncomfortable. Police assured me the truck was “clean” after checking the VIN and told me it was just “poor customer service.” Yeah, no joke! Honestly, I would have been better off finding a truck closer to home, but hindsight and all that.

I thought I bought a great car! I am now hiring a lawyer. The car I bought is a death trap. Car must have been in bad front end accident. List is huge of safety issues I wasn’t aware of. Very unprofessional response when I tried to speak to them.

Thanks to John at Checkered Flag Auto, I now own my dream car. The process of purchasing the car went so smoothly — within 1.5 hours of my test drive, I had the keys in my hand to drive my new car home! Prices are stellar here as well. Highly recommend!

-very irritated buy car lots...-... Just another used car lot with overpriced damaged goods.... full intention on buying or dont' bother going... went to go look at a car where obviously pics were nicer then the real thing... . immediately rolled up saw it and an immediate NO turn around lets go..... saw parts (trim fenders wasn't clean or shiny...) hanging off the car and just turned right around and went home....update: i actually came back and gave it a second chance i was is desperate need of a car, but no dice. had i took the intetiatvee to shop the lot online before i went for the one i was looking at its possible i woulda walked out with something. i did meet a couple guys there i havnt' talked too in the past before.. good place very friendly let me do my thing and just explore the vehicles.... the kind of experience i like at a dealer. would shop here again.

Saw they had an old Subaru listed for a decent price. Looked like it was in great shape. The guys were straightforward about the quirks on the car (it’s a 1990), and weren’t shy about me taking a drive and stopping at a parts store to check the engine code. I bought what was probably the cheapest and oldest car on their lot but they treated me with respect as if I was any other customer spending more. It was a great experience. I’d trust these guys if I was going to buy another used car for sure.

One of the best interactions with used cars dealers I've had. The interactions felt genuine throughout, without pressure and not at all scummy. Even with a hiccup in the process, they honored their word, and worked with me to save roughly $1000. At the end of the day, I have a great car that runs well, and is everything I was looking for and more. I would definitely return to buy another car with them.
Long story short, my mechanic, Checkered flag, and myself looked at the car and saw nothing wrong with it. Right after pickup, an emissions error code popped up, which only triggered on the highway. Didn't happen normally around town, so they wouldn't have known about it, and I didn't test drive it on the highway, so that was my bad. I reproduced the error 3 times, only on the highway. They had told me that if there was an issue right afterwards, they'd work with me, even though I bought it as is. And they honored their word, and helped me get it fixed for a very reasonable amount. I only paid 12% of what it would have cost, even though they didn't have contractual obligation to do so, just a verbal promise. Huge respect for that!

I purchased a 2016 honda hrv less than 2 months ago and the battery is already bad. I called to see if they would help out but they wont. I would advise to stay away from this dealership as it seems to be shady.
