So, I am about to be a former client of Bluevine Bank. What does that have to do with Coastal Community Bank. Plenty. Bank account services provided by Coastal Community Bank, Member FDIC. I deposit a check and get told the first time it might take 1 to 4 days to clear. Four is long, but OK, Maybe they need to establish a pattern for my deposits. I deposit a second check and now it will take SIX days according to their chat! We're in the age of everything instant and a bank wants to take SIX DAYS to clear a $250 check. Unbelievable. I called Coastal and they says it is not them doing the banking. Really? "Bank account services provided by Coastal Community Bank, Member FDIC." If it isn't, then management is completely incompetent and should NOT be running a bank, period.

I joined Coastal about six years ago, with some skepticism. I wanted a local bank and they were recommended. At first, there were some mistakes in setting up the account. But, the employees at the downtown Everett branch continually impressed me with how responsive, caring, and prompt they were in fixing things that came up. Years later, I now know I can count on this team to take care of my banking needs. Even through COVID, the branch employees have remained friendly, patient, and responsive. Thank you!

Looking to switch from a big bank? Look no further. Coastal is amazing. Justin and Rochelle are the most professional, friendly and diligent bankers I've ever worked with.

Melissa Hemrich is a first class contact for Coastal Community Bank. She is a fine representative and knows her “stuff”. She not only gives her all for the bank but she gives her all for everyone in the community. Don’t hesitate to do business with her, she will do her best!

Small time bank I like, but terrible customer service. I asked to have 24 months of statements either emailed or printed and they responded with $5 a month price. Needless to say I will be moving to another bank

Words cannot describe how incredibly helpful everyone at Coastal Community Bank has been with us from establishing new accounts to filing our Paycheck Protection Program loan application and receiving our loan. Julie and Melissa were over the top amazing. They answered all our phone calls and emails...and there were a lot...they were always patient and kept us updated every step of the way. Even Laura, one of their Executive Vice Presidents, emailed us over the weekend to reassure us that all our loan documents had been approved and submitted on a Saturday no less. I've never seen anything like it from a bank before. My money will be here for good as Chase sent us a couple of cold auto-generated emails, had a busy phone tree that led no where, and kicked back our documents with no explanation or direction to rectify the issues. We've been banking with them for over 7 years. Thank you everyone at Coastal Community Bank for your support during these challenging times for all of us, and especially small businesses. You are a huge advocate for the future of local small businesses and it shows in every interaction. Thanks again!

Since moving out of state I have had challenges staying with this bank. I had lost a debit card late August and recieved a new one on the 5th, but never recieved a pin for it. I had called and was told to wait a couple days but it never showed up. I emailed the bank and wad told to call a number to activate my card, but since I'm not able to pay my phone bill because of this issue, this was not an option because the card must be activated by the phone on the account. Another weekend passes with no money and on monday I find someone who was able to solve the phone problem and activate the card. The next day I find the card is being declined because it needs a pin that was somehow set that I never set. The only solution is to wait another 5-10 business day for another pin to be mailed to me which means I will not be able to access my money until at least October 2nd and at most Oct 9th IF there are no further issues. I've gone the entire month of September without being able to buy food with my own money and will not be able to pay rent on time. I highly recommend changing to a different bank if you move.
