My daughter has been blessed to attend Rise Up Academy from the age of 2½-6yr old. My daughter suffered from social anxiety along with other developmental issues. She only knew a sall part of the alphabet and her numbers 1-10 in sight. Dr. Stoot, Ms. Claire, and Ms. Emma began the process of aiding my daughter and I in developing the necessary skills, knowledge, and tools necessary to enable us to navigate through some of the most difficult days of our lives. As my daughter grew and her needs evolved so has Rise Up Academy and the rest of the staff. I must not forget to include Dr. Terry, Mr. Mejinta this year helping her to thrive academically and emotionally. My daughter now reads at a 3rd grade level along with 2nd grade mathematical abilities. All due to the one on one assistance in conjunction with small groups based on each childs individual needs she's received. Not to mention Ms. Nupur and Dr. Salgado under the guidance of Dr. Stoot have helped me to withstand some real hardships that otherwise I may not have been able to find my way through. So, what I am trying to say is that Rise Up Academy is more the a School, Teachers and Staff Members, its a Family with a Team that will go to battle with and for, you and your family- as long as you are willing to do your part.
My daughter and I absolutely love it here!!!
If you haven't........ Come check it out!!!
God bless you all,
Ms. Lachanna Johnson

Excellent School with Unmatched Care and Academics
My daughter attended Rise Up Academy for two wonderful years, from preschool through her recent Kindergarten graduation. Before finding Rise Up, we tried three other daycare and preschool programs in our search for the right fit—one that balanced play, academics, emotional development, and behavioral guidance. Rise Up Academy stood out in every way.
From the south to the north of Seattle, we saw nothing that compared to the level of care, structure, and excellence this school offers. Thanks to the dedicated teachers and staff, my daughter has grown into a confident, well-prepared learner—now reading and doing math above her grade level.
She misses the school dearly and is already asking for her younger sister to attend, just so she can visit again. That’s how special Rise Up Academy has been to our family. We’re incredibly grateful and couldn’t recommend it more highly!

As an aunt to a child who recently attended this daycare, I’ve heard disturbing and consistent reports from her and others about how staff regularly yelled at and mistreated children. What’s most heartbreaking is that my niece was ultimately removed after a staff member violated basic safety standards and laws, causing her lasting emotional harm.
No child should experience fear in a place meant to protect and nurture them. This was not an isolated mistake—it reflects deeper issues with training, oversight, and accountability. I hope other families ask serious questions before trusting this place with their children.

Beyond grateful for this school! My 4 year old can read almost as well as my 2nd grader after only attending for 1 year thanks to their amazing teachers. I am excited to watch my daughter excel now that she is attending as well! That staff is so warm and carrying that drop offs are easy and pick ups are hard, which is a problem I am happy to have! Knowing my kids are comfortable in their surround and loved by their teachers makes being a mom who works full time have much needed piece of mind!

While there are some great staff at this daycare. I’m shocked and disappointed by how this daycare did not even care for my child. A staff member strapped my child to a chair by force, with no proper training or certification, and is still employed. Leadership has taken no real accountability, even with written documentation. I would not trust this place with any child’s safety or emotional well-being. What does it say about management when they choose to keep someone like this around? It makes me wonder what else they allow behind closed doors.

Don’t go here ! My daughter has a disability due to her being premature. Saying since of her disability and being behind they don’t think it would be a good fit. She is in school age than told me for me to take her to the Y at her school. My Aunt says since they are licensed they can’t do it ! That’s a lawsuit against ADA

Hater will always hate anything, someone who hates you normally is either they want to be you or they hate themselves because they can’t have what you have...

Our family is so grateful for Greater Trinity / Rise Up Academy! When our 3-year-old gets home from preschool, she spends the rest of the day playing "teacher" because she wants to be just like the wonderful Ms. Claire and Ms. Emma. We appreciate how much they communicate with us about our daughter's day-to-day learning, triumphs, and challenges. She has made tremendous academic and social progress under their tutelage and is beginning to read before her 4th birthday! Even more important, she feels loved, and she loves all her friends and teachers in return. We are especially grateful that she has teachers, administrators, and Board members of color to look up to, as well as many classmates of color. This is such a gift for a mighty, young Black girl growing up in this area. Thank you, Greater Trinity Academy!

Where to begin! my son Oxford has been attending Greater Trinity Academy ( now Rise Up Academy) since he was Two years old. I have steadily watched him grow into a little boy who has a passion for learning. He attended Rise Up Academy through kindergarten and now attends their before and after school program. We just had his conference for 1st grade and let me tell you, this boy blew it out of the park academic wise with his testing scores. (One score for reading and comprehension was out of 39, meaning he met kindergarten standard, and he scored 72!)He nearly doubled the standard score. I would love to take the credit for this, but I know all the thanks and recognition goes to Rise Up Academy and their teaching staff for moLeung my son , shaping the way her learns and thinks about education, and truly giving him the motivation and love for learning. So thank you, Rise Up Academy, and all the staff for doing what you do and know best, and loving our children, and often feeling in those gaps at times, and helping our children reach their fullest potential!

I went to this academy and I loved it. My kindergarten teacher's name is Dr. Terry. He was well, everyone praised the Lord. After all, we had a church there. I went there for pre- k through 2nd grade. Then I moved to a different school. I really miss my teachers there. Even though people said this was a horrible school, and I had bullies, it was pretty awesome! Hi to my teachers I had!♥️ This is me, DeniciaJones

Not to be rude, the truth hurts; some people that are so disappointed about this Academy are the people who don't understand a thing about it. I myself went there, and have witnessed the way they treat the children. I was amazed to see that the children were ahead in reading, and writing. One of the outstanding work I saw was the Pre-K children who can read a 1st grade level; that only alone is something I will always remember about this academy. JUST AMAZING

This place is dangerous and scary. It's an absolutely DISGUSTING preschool/kindergarten!!! The people are shady. The school is "non profit" and gets a ridiculous amount of funding yet the school is falling apart. They give the kids dollar store food items including American sandwich cheese as a mid-day snack. They YELL at the kids and yank on their limbs. The place was awful. They had constant LICE problems! PLEASE look up their records on the government website. You'll see their terrible track record. Don't send your kids there!!!

I'm new to Washington and decided to take my chance with Google to find a church. GOD directed me to Greater Trinity and I must say I fell in Love. The people are great and yes they are a Bible teaching Church so if up too are new to Washington I say give this Church a go. You will not be disappointed because the presence of the Lord is here!!
