I just had the most horrible experience with a store clerk that refused to “cut” a fabric, but “ripped” it instead! This was an extremely expensive plush velvet material that instantly frayed and “expanded” at the tear line (like a cat claw pulling a thread only 100 x’s worse). She offered 5 more inches for me to sort this out. I feel bad, because I had her cut it and then said no. But, I am not going to pay to have Joanne’s instantly ruin the really expensive fabric I want to buy! This is the absolute worst thing that I have even seen demonstrated in a place of business. “Here, let use ruin this perfectly fine product for you, then, charge you for it!” Ya….. nope!

Use to go to this store regularly. The last time I was in was about 2 years ago. The employees had ALL changed. New manager (not at the store). The cutters were not friendly, acted like it was an imposition to cut my material, and no, the store wasn't busy. Cashier was the only employee who was nice. Haven't been back! now usually order from several online fabric shops. Also, go to Walmart. Would like to go to the Lynnwood store, but I don't drive any farther than I have to. Do mail orders, too.

For people complaining about lack of employees, corporate dictates their labor hours and only allots them enough for about 2-4 workers at any given time. Try to consider that next time the line is "too long" or wait times are "too slow"

I will confess that I had a vendetta against Joann for years and refused to go into the store when they told me my very sweet little dog who didn't make a peep could not be with me, even though I carried him. That was over 12 years ago. Things chang; rules relax and stupid rules are sometimes abandoned for more sensible ones. I returned to Joann's this year (and yes, I had a little dog with me. I always do). They were much more friendly than in the past and we were not told to leave. (Immediate 3 stars for that alone). I really love this store. If you draw or paint, this isn't really your best place to go. If your passion is sewing, crocheting, or knitting, welcome to your happy place: Joann's has so much here! As for me, I am a crocheter, so I gravitate to the yarn section. They have a good selection of yarn in varying weights and colors. There is usually some kind of sale going on, and if not, you can Google search for coupons (recently there was a 40% off coupon for one non-sale item). If you've been looking for "Big Twist" brand yarn, you'll find that here. They also have most of the other major brand yarns: Caron, Lions Brand, Red Heart, etc). You'll find the clearance section in the very back right corner of the store, and sometimes (not always) you can find really good deals back there. I have nothing bad to say about this store. If I were pressed to say anything negative it would be that the quantity of items on a few shelves were a bit sparse. It did raise a concern; many people have heard that Joann filed for bankruptcy. I did ask if this Joann store was going to close down, and for what it's worth, I was told it was not. ? Parking is very good at this location. On the day I went, there was a poor soul by my car who appeared to be homeless, but he did no harm to me. (Just be kind and stay mindful.)

Very frustrated with the store hours. Google says they close at 7:00. The sign on their store door says they close at 7:00 Monday-Saturday, and when you call it says they close at 8:00pm. But in the end it doesn't matter because they actually close at 6:00. It would have saved me so much time if the hours had just been adjusted correctly. Get it together!

It's ok. Not in a very good part of town. I always feel a little uneasy going to that strip mall. The store usually has what I am looking for. Employees are hard to find. Frequently, there is only one clerk at the front and working the register. The quality of Customer Service is hit or miss, depends on who's working, and their mood.

I don't mind the story. However, I'm annoyed that the bathroom always claims to be broken. They have been saying this for months. It's starting to feel evident that they do not want to offer it to customers anymore.

Love this location. Smaller store but huge selection of fabrics and all the staff were super friendly!

Claims they accept competitor's coupons? They don't even honor THEIR OWN COUPONS! They'll show you the reduced total, and then charge you the full amount - and keep half the purchase "by accident". Associates will not help, and are generally rude when you ask why you were charged full price when they said the discounted priced - and won't refund it! Don't bother with this place!

I like this locations because it is convenient for me. And the staffs are helpful and friendly! I wish they have more selections like Lynnwood branch. And better lighting on ceiling. The store looks deemed and dull..! Sometime it makes hard to see the true color of materials
